Agreed. If he prefers to play 3 at the back say, with wingbacks then what's the point in Speakman buying wingers.
…Speakman will buy whatever youngster he thinks we can make a few quid profit from in the future, regardless of their position/what we actually need in the squad.

Fishpastes post is getting quote tweeted by people who seem very confident it’s happening now, word is getting around….

I agree about the young players thing and Mowbray, not so much the language thing.

Generally I think English or Spanish are the predominant languages in football. A high percentage of young players learn English, certainly on the continent. They usually have more than enough to understand. I think Rusyn was highlighted and became a bit of a stick to beat Mowbray with. Mowbray is an excellent training ground coach who communicates really effectively and I am sure he was mindful of the foreign lads when communicating. In addition a lot of clubs now partner with educational organisations via their academy setups. This includes English language courses. Players who need it can get short booster courses in English. It is a bit like overseas students coming to the UK, they can access English language courses if they need it to build the everyday languagd skills and boost their confidence.

I don't rate them at all mate, no offence ...

... they sent Rooney, on one, and there's no discernible improvement.

I refuse to get excited about any of our so called head coach targets.

We used to attract actual proven managers, no matter what league we were in.

Now everyone is excited over managers that have either zero games experience or one season. Its total bonkers.
Given our current position, what would really sicken me would be the appointment of another failed manager from the manager merry go round. People actually wanting the like of Cooper and Heckingbottom need to bear in mind that if we were to get promoted, we’d need to start looking for another manager straight away as whilst those names are decent Championship managers, they’ve proven themselves to out of their depth in the Premiership.

I have no idea if Still will be any good, but I’d rather live in hope that we’ve picked up the next Cloughie rather than just another journeyman.

over the road - RTG

Just went over to see what 'Steve F' had to say as he's a good poster.

Incredibly, despite this being a very important time for SAFC, the main topics on the Will Still thread seem to be this forum, who's been banned from here and what Smug has to say. FFS, I haven't been on there for years and they're still obsessed <laugh>
(To be fair I do have an account, from last season, but that's mainly for sorting tickets, etc. There's about a dozen lads who know I post and two people on here but apart from the odd post and dig at an idiot, I mainly stick tp pm's.)

Lads like Spitfire, who I know, are great posters and don't get involved with the petty nonsense. He's posted that Still is a done deal, info from an ITK he knows, and I trust him. Sorted me a ticket at Wimbledon once as well.

Idiots like Dobblemackem just make up things that I've said and other idiots pile in. I've made a point of saying, in this case, I'm absolutely not ITK but have been told things from one RTG lad, one on here and someone who told me about KLD taking over. The fact I posted that, before he actually did, is ignored because it doesn't fit the idiotic agenda.

Dobblemackem is saying,
'Blows my mind how anyone can honestly believe Smug would know details about Will Still’s personal life.'
Firstly, I haven't said anything of the sort, secondly, no one on here would believe me if I did. They seem to think everyone on here are gullible mugs who believe owt I say.

As far as as I can see everyone has just taken the 'pinch of salt' view and won't believe anything until it's announced.

People can post what they like, of course. But making things up about what a long gone poster has said, on another forum, would suggest there's some very sad, lonely and desperate people out there. They have nothing to say that's original, interesting, witty or ITK so spend day after day, hour after hour, pursuing their petty vendettas and convincing themselves anyone really cares.

If any of them just stopped posting today it might be months, perhaps never, before anyone would miss them. I know you're reading and this post will be on RTG before your mam calls you down for your tea, have a great day lads <laugh>
