Perhaps this is the problem. Speakman has to ring Still at between 9 and 9.05am if he wants to appoint him but keeps getting put on hold.
Been vocally supportive of the club going for Still ever since Mowbray left us but he is one of many. If he goes to Norwich I won't lose sleep over it, plenty of capable managers out there. Don't find it troubling at all.
I am starting to get quite frustrated at the club's naivete and lack of effort/ability to control the media and, as the arseholes say, the narrative.
They've said **** all and in their silence we have bought into Still based on... I don't know what, whispers maybe, click bait and the effects of an echo chamber.
Looks like people are getting peeved because it looks like it might not work out. Anyone who isn't Still will be a disappointment to some, if Still comes in the appointment will be tainted for some by all of this melodrama. That's a bit ammateurish and really avoidable.
They really need to start managing expectations of fans better, especially given the ****ing toxicity we've seen bubbling away in the last 6-12 months.

I wouldn't have him in charge of appointing anyway as it is.Imagine the fury if the delay with Still has been because speakmans on holiday
Yeah this. I understand that leaks are bad and I think the club do a good job of not allowing much to get out into the media, but surely we have a few 'friendly' journalists who we can use to get information out there and get sections of the fanbase who have turned back onside.

If anything this Norwich interest will flush out a leak sooner rather than later. Whether it be Still or not, something will come out soon.

All conjecture - when The Athletic start quoting random tweets and use "should" and "may" it's just them covering all bases.
Ultimately we will end up with a Head Coach soon. As long as the club had done due diligence (and not pinched pennies) then I'm confident that person will be the right person, assuming lessons have been learned.
