You have touched on something that has been nagging at the back of my mind since Beale was appointed. That is how attractive are we really to head coaches. My concerns were largely borne out of how quick we were to ditch Mowbray. It wasnt a well regarded decision by many outside of our club. Then I was taken aback at how long it took to appoint an out of work Beale. My negative assumption was others were sounded out and said no. I do think any head coach with experience or ambition will be seeking some pretty big assurances from us before accepting any offer. Most will know about our weaknesses in the squad and the general direction of travel we have taken around shedding experience. They will also know our recent recruitment hasnt given a head coach a chance really. I hope my fears are a bit far fetched and we get the man they want, but the longer it goes on the more I wonder about our attractiveness.

When was the last time we had manager join in the Summer? Feels like our last load of managers have come in part way through the season, then got sacked part way through the following season.

Might be a nice change having a completely fresh start, with a new head coach, and a new season all at the same time.

Bruce I think. Similar situation with Dodds and Sbragia.

Dont shoot the messenger but I have heard that Beale is in the running. He is eager to get another chance, to put things right. With Joey Barton coming in as his No.2.

As I watch the Rigg-marole playing out (too sunny to get my coat) it does make me want some clarity mind. Transfer/contract negotiations at the critical stage simply can’t be strengthened by having no coaching team.

Wouldn't surprise me if our latest appointment was sandwiched in between some England news and Scotland news during the Euros.
