If KS is away and we're keeping with the DOF system, I hope we get someone who's experienced with running the football side of a football club.

There's that word again - "experienced"! <laugh>
Didnt someone earlier say Poyet had been advising recently. Maybe easy link to make.

Not very much at all mate. When he was with Cook at Wigan I heard good things, but dont know anyone who has seen him since he left there. I would say if Tuchel takes you with him to Bayern you must have something about you. Tuchel is ultra demanding. If I was looking for things to worry about, I wouldnt be terribly keen on his part time gigs at international level. I would wonder what he is learning, and for sure he gives them up if he is a number 1.
Yep if he is coming to us then cant be with portugal still

If it was him, id hope he bring a more experienced no2 in to help him

Has Poyet had any experience as a DOF though? If he's the one KLD had been talking to then I haven't a problem with that but we need someone who knows the ins and out of a DOF. The one thing that's always bugged me about KS is the only experience he had about running a club was the youths at Birmingham. He's got us a good foundation to build on with the youth players we've got, for me, we need someone to take us up to the next level and add to that foundation

Rumour was that we interviewed in London then KLD has been to France, Germany and elsewhere.

The London interviews were so club staff weren't present.

We've taken advice from a manager with Championship experience but, too old to employ.

The criteria is experience but under 50yo.

Speakman isn't guaranteed to be there if the new man would prefer a different set up.

I wonder if people will get off KLD's back if Speakman goes, doubt it tbh.

I've been told more, by someone on here, but it's up to him to post.
Some will be on KLDs back whatever I suspect. Not everyone likes everyone. Both have made mistakes, as we all do. For me Speakman has made too many this season on the football side.

What I will defend both for, until I am blue in the face, is our academy. They worked their bollocks off to make sure we retained Cat1 status. That is the most important thing for us, barring first team performance. Now we see young lads choosing us, staying with, and being promoted at first opportunity. I have no doubt Speakman and Dodds have been instrumental in the link from academy to first team we now have. The appointments there have been brilliant too - Murty has been unreal. I think he has fallen a bit short at first team level, KS, but he has put in some foundations that will reap rewards for years to come.

And keeping that would'nt have come cheap

Perfectly put. No idea re Poyet mate. I might be dreaming about someone saying Poyet has been involved. Just tied in a bit with Smug saying an ex championship mgr is helping, and with his ties to us, and I suspect Sartori my brain added 2 and 2 and got who knows what.

As an aside I really like Poyet as a football man. I think he has a great knowledge and appreciation of it. Whether that makes him a DoF I have no idea to be honest. If anyone should be able to spot a CM mind it is him, what a player he was.

He scored up here in the 4-1 game so he wasn't too bad I suppose! :emoticon-0105-wink:

If an age criteria has been put in place, maybe it's felt that the working dynamic between the head coach and KLD would work better with someone in that age range.
