It is mate, I've been one of his biggest supporters and im willing to give him another chance but this summer is make or break for him
^^This ^^

He will know that he has to get this right or it's curtains.
TBH, I think he's made things worse for himself by taking so long to appoint a new head coach.
Fans will rightly call KS out if they are less than impressed with his preferred candidate after his protracted recruitment process.

We would also have to give that manager a chance tho

Some fans will have a go at speakman, and the club, no matter who we appoint

What concerns me is that a lot of fans will be less than impressed with a new manager based on nothing more than perception. They won't be interested in the things that really matter. Lee Johnson, for example, was unpopular but won a greater proportion of his games than any other manager for the last 20 years. Like I posted earlier, Beale's PPG was very similar to Mowbray's this season but people had made their minds up about him before he even started. I think that's something to be really concerned about. Especially if it has an impact on how the club view their manager.

Then they should have had better judgement and not appointed Beale in the first place. I mean, they could have learned after the whole Mowbray mess but didn't.

Hypothetical question. If Still was and is the man but they negated coz they would've owed 5mill. Would you or anyone else be OK about it or still be upset they left a third of the season on the table?

Not sure why anyone takes any notice of what Nixon says, he always has a story on something.

I dont understand how he can write so much of so little substance. He's like one of the monkeys at the typewriter, I think they'd get to the complete works of Shakespeare before he writes a compelling story of substance.

Hypothetically speaking. If Speakman nailed this window and we got promoted, would he be on thin ice if we were bottom of yhe league the year after?

In your scenario I think that would depend more on who has been added to the squad next summer tbh.

In the first instance though, nailing this window is going to be some ask; I don't envy the position Speakman is in at all!

For starters, we've got some really talented players but the squad is already lacking in a couple of key positions. In addition to that, it looks certain a couple of the crown jewels will be sold creating even more work to be done if we are to be competitive next season.

To top it all off he's got the small matter of bringing in a new Head Coach with the added pressure of sacking the last one after a handful of games.

Nailing this window is going to a monumental challenge. If he pulls it off he'll deserve massive credit.

Does a bear **** in the woods

All the negative fans just want success no matter what.

I've seen people online who've slated the club for only buying kids advocating for Defoe to be given the managers role lol

Beale wasn't even that bad an appointment. He was averaging something like 1.27 point per game, only slightly down on Mowbray's 1.35 points per game. Granted, the football wasn't as pretty as last season. If the pathetic campaign against him hadn't have happened, we could have limped to the end of the end of the season in the top half and thought about it again then.

If he'd been able to keep his trap shut and get on with the job there would have been no campaign in the first place. He'd have been rumbled as a bullshitter eventually but the speed at which he revealed himself as one was the most impressive thing about him. He hadn't learned anything from his time at Rangers.

So the dislike for.him was because of the things he said? Nothing to do with football? Bizarre.
