Onwards and upwards. Some of the **** the appointment is getting on the clubs instagram post is shocking to be honest, must be full of mags pretending to be Sunderland fans.

However he has to hit the ground running now, no time for any finding of feet in his new role. With the squad at his disposal the results should come with a few blips along the way no doubt.

Well at least it’s official now, wouldn’t have been my choice but I’ll always get behind the manager and the club.

Thankfully there are very, very few managers who I wouldn’t support.

Its the people who reply to others posting positively which I despise. I just replied wishing him all the best and that he will get the full backing of the fans, to which somebody replies telling me to shut up :D

One of the reasons I love Sunderland is because I love Sunderland fans. I've never lived north of Birmingham. Only supported Sunderland in first place when my Durham-born mum took me to a game and I was just blown away by the supporters. Even this weekend when I went to the game, I just love being around passionate, down to earth fans. Its great.

Then I look at the replies on twitter and it makes me embarrassed to be a Sunderland fan. I have never seen fans of other clubs react like this to an appointment and it makes me really quite sad.

Beale wouldn't have been my choice, definitely not. But the thing causing me much more disappointment is the reaction, often incredibly rude and hurtful, that I'm seeing to his appointment. And then Sunderland fans even then being disrespectful to other Sunderland fans, for daring to try to be positive about it. WTAF

Welcome to Sunderland Michael and hope the fans give you a bit of time to settle. Good to hear we have kept Dodds as his Assistant .Hopefully they make a great team and we can now look forward to the January window and gives our CF another chance. Glad it is all sorted and gets my full support as did Mowbray.

It’s pathetic. I also can’t stand Rangers but a few are into all that loyalist ****e.

Crack on then lad. All supporters will get behind you, though some people might not.

I'm very pleased that those in charge made their minds up and stuck with it. Going back on a decision because some people get upset on the Internet would have been absurd and laughable.
