I reckon the top brass are going to view the manager/coach's role in the same way they view a player....an asset with a decent sell on clause. Bring in a young up and coming manager and if he does the business and another team come knocking....there's a price tag attached. can't see Sunderland going for a tried and tested name this time around

Whoever we bring in is going need time to stamp his style and authority on the squad and team.

December has an unforgiving schedule with games thick and fast, which you would assume would make it tricky to get their ideas across

Yep,6 matches in 3 weeks. I find it hard to believe that a replacement for TM isn't already signed and sealed.

Has he been mentioned yet? Can’t knock the job he’s done at Hull. They play some tidy stuff too.
Highly thought of at Derby. Worked under Cocu as a coach. Had a decent stint as interim gaffee but the club went for Warne and he left. I know plenty of supporters who wanted Rosenior to stay.

I think he’ll get Derby back up. Very inconsistent at first but they’ve been solid lately. Good manager at that level.

He is mate. Not the most stylish football, but will do enough to win enough games for me.

Listened to that pod with Will Still and Jake Humphrey, while it's not my thing it's a decent listen.
One thing I noticed was Still said he goes alot on gut instinct when making job moves in football. If KLD and KS have approached him and sold him the club vision with where we're going with data and everything, I can see Still totally buying into that vision.

I personally hope it comes off, he seems a really good fit for us

I don't this it'll be a British manager. I'd heard rumours that KLD was quite angry at the way Mowbray went on about players not speaking English. I can see his point tbh, football should be simple and you can access instant translation in many languages on your phone these days.

The current set up, at the club, will hopefully attract managers with the same vision and imagination ...

... I'm hoping it's never a 'meat and two veg' manager again.

Agreed. It’s who I want. I don’t think it’ll happen but I’d love to be wrong here.

Someone like Still would be a perfect fit - young, multi-lingual, used to working with a DoF/SD, happy to embrace youth.
I had to laugh when I saw Warnock's name being bandied about online :emoticon-0140-rofl:
