Régis Le Bris believes while the standards within Sunderland’s group have improved there is still so much more to come after September’s international break. “The standards are getting better and better,” he said. “It is not just a question of winning. “We want to raise our level and we want to maintain the way we played before. “We want to improve many elements of our game still,” he continued. “It is still fragile and even after four wins it is still possible to lose. “Then we will need to keep that level and improve the mentality of the team. “At the minute it is good so now we need to avoid relaxing.” https://www.safc.com/news/2024/september/02/Le-Bris-international-break-message/
Every game he says after ‘we can do a bit more’ It’s proper mentality, constant improvement. I love how when we haven’t got the ball we seem to dictate where the oppo can go. Over time teams will get wise to that and slow game down and that’s when challenge is going to come.
I like how RLB goes on about the players answering questions on the pitch and overcoming problems. I see it as he is putting little challenges to them to think on their feet and not just rely on the bench to tell them everything. Im trying not to get carried away, but its very difficult not to and he really does seem like the missing piece of the jigsaw
Unbelievably he isnt! https://www.efl.com/news/2024/septe...s-top-performers-in-the-sky-bet-championship/
Aye. It’s really early but sometimes whether by planning or design you la d on the perfect fit. It certainly feels that way right now and the way he, and the players talk is so aligned it feels like he’s ’our guy’. I’d say we’ve had plenty false starts but actually not many managers start well here. Big Sam we were shocking at start, prime example. Having him in early in his pre-season looking a massive factor.
I would add to that his sports science and psychology qualifications will be huge for us as well, the Data boys are going to be busy for him this season.
Let them crack on and have other teams look at those players, quite happy with what our lads are doing without the pushing of our young stars
Quite right! We know what we're seeing...if they don't see it,it's their's to deal with and who gives a **** what they think anyway.
To be fair the championship team of the week goes off the whoscored.com rankings. They're likely flawed (all rankings are) but at least they're based off something rather than some bloke picking his favourites. I'm sure the ones who got in ahead of our guys played well. We won't get in every week, and most weeks so far they've been dominated by Sunderland.
Remember that these will be the same people who didn't even have that goal at Reading in the running for goal of the season
