The bloke over the road knew on Monday apparently, and I don’t think you know someone in the home office as well mate. Sometimes you just have to admit you are wrong

On Sunday I was sent 2 names. MC and RLB. However, I was expecting us to move with MC. I thought at that time he would be the one and it would come out in 24 hours. Others heard stronger on RLB and had a couple on here PM me. It was only as the week progressed it became clearer that RLB was the one. Well that was the rate of info coming out.

So yeah, some heard specifically it was RLB before the main media got it.

Definitely been a strange period for the club but what is important is how it all comes together now. The staff, the new roles and solid recruitment.

If he doesn't go and we don't sell one of our star players, how much money will we have to strengthen the squad? We have to start to sell our players sometime in order to progress.

So, if it isn't Clarke, who is it going to be?

Good point, i thought clarke would go & needed to for us to get the best money we can unless hes gunna sign a new contract....think that might be difficult with Harte

I don't know how much money we will have to invest without a sale, however i dont think this squad needs a massive amount spent on it, it definitely needs say 31 year old ish CD (experience im meaning), experienced CDM & an experienced striker whos either proven at this level or an outstanding kid.....im hoping we get the young striker from west ham but dont know if hes ready yet @Scout73 's opinion on that would be interesting. Remember some of these could be loans, whos the CD Cardiff had on loan from Liverpool, that few listed done wisely might not be a massive investment.....coupled with our young lads have an extra season's experience

Really interesting point I’ve just seen somebody random on twitter say (I kept scrolling so can’t give credit)

Le Bris was relegated, sure. But he wasn’t sacked by Lorient, either when they moved towards relegation, or even after. He’s only left when we’ve come in for him.

it says a lot that. Not many managers survive a relegation and it seems he was going to.

God points, Not sure if already mentioned but think most were shocked after the season Burnley had Kompany went to Bayern

Said this before. I don't see why our experience doesn't come from loans. Get loan players in the positions we are weak in, they help the the younger players in training to hopefully learn from and make them ready for the following season.

The next season, get loans in what are then the problem areas.

So as an example, last season, full season loans for Nat Phillips (Liverpool) Kieffer Moore (Bournemouth) and Flynn Downes (West Ham) - know he was probably part of the Ward Prowse deal, but that sort of player.

Would love a Keifer Moore type striker, it would calm some of the fan base down for sure !

@SAFCsource
Read an interview with Le Bris, sounds very methodical but tries to steer away from data. Not a fan of xG or overloading players with too much numerical info. Says he sets his team up to be defensively sound initially with rapid counters but then more fluid as time goes on.

Data has it's place in scouting, and it's very important there, but on a match day? Not for me.
