I’d argue we hear him out if we think he’s going to be any good, rather than this bullshit. The hypocrisy of not when we tried to get Farioli etc. Such fragile egos.

This is football and sometimes people have to put their egos aside. If it was the case he’d had a preliminary chat with the board then decided he wanted to see if he could get the Burnley job, that’s different to the apparent Still situation where he agreed and then turned round.

As long as whoever comes is committed and gives 100%, providing they aren’t ****e, it doesn’t matter that much what went on before.

but ultimately I’d just like it sorted!

Any new coach coming in has surely got to look at the exciting, attacking way we played the season before last. Ok,so we had Amad,a special talent, and Cory fit and well, but the rest of the squad,if all fit and well,is the same more or less.Rigg wasn't in that side,so a quality cdm and a striker, give these players their heads and let them play with the freedom they had for that time under Mogga? Am I being naive?

I think we’d see a return to that freedom if we had a striker who could score because they’d be less worried about having to do it all themselves.

Hopefully we have one by the season start.

Yeah exactly. Which is why, in my opinion, the club should be targeting a coach who has previous in playing a similar way.

Le Bris may come here and completely change his tendencies but why not go for a coach who is a master in implementing a style of play that allows our young attackers to thrive instead of bringing in a coach who isn't and expecting them to change?

I guess time will tell mate. I don't think any of us would know enough about him to be certain either way.
True mate. Think I would just feel a little deflated if it was him.
Like the look of Cifuentes. He has a track record for good football and also for picking teams up when the are at a low ebb.
Worry Le Bris would be more of what we had under Dodds and Beale.

Unless you have Pep-like resources, don't good coaches tend to adapt to the players they have at their disposal......that's pretty much what Mowbray did?

Adapt yes, but asking them to completely change is crazy. Nobody is hiring Pep to play direct, long ball football in a relegation scrap, just like Man City aren't appointing Big Sam any time soon.

Mowbray played a very similar way here and Blackburn.

Not sure you're getting my point, which was that Pep has the resources to buy the players he wants to play his system, and, conversely, whether Fat Sam could get a tune out of the same players is open to conjecture!<laugh> However, most of us were expecting a dour set-up from Mowbray when he arrived, which proved not to be the case once he'd got to grips with the players we had.....seeming to adapt his former style and adjust.

I dont believe anything is imminent for an announcement.
I really am flummoxed as to how and why its taking us SO much longer than any other club in finding and securing a head coach. Only us and Burnley left without a Head Coach in the 92 now and they're lining up RVN. Every other team has had either a manager leave or been sacked and found a replacement long since we've known we need one.

It's baffling at this point
