Right - positives are that Dodds will still be behind him. Can’t see Beale being able to massively change the approaches in place so doubt things like players not being fit enough can be a worry.

relationship with players also helped by Dodds staying.

he’s also famously bad at transfers but that isn’t a problem here.

by all accounts he’s a good coach. So there’s that.

I'm really trying here
Yeah, really feel like we need to scrape the barrel when looking for the positives with this one!

something has happened like it doesn't take 2 weeks do appoint him , massive massive gamble, that the didn't need to do, all this cheap option doesn't sit right aswell like that hellberg was free and would
of been on less money aswell, he's talked his way into this job,i haven't seen a rangers fan say one good thing about him, would of been better giving it to dodds, beale is talked about being one of the best coaches in the world, but his man management is ment to be awful and if he does actually do well, he'll be looking for the first opportunity to bounce to
the next job
, i like the structure and owners but this could destroy all that if it goes bad like, hopefully it's not all done and it falls through, haha
That's the major problem here, he had 22 games at QPR and took two job interviews in that time and took one the jobs

I've not seen one positive post from a Sunderland regarding this appointment on here and twitter etc.

Speakman really has but himself under unnecessary pressure imo. It won't take long for **** to hit the fan if he doesn't hit the ground running.

It’s clear as day we’ve tried to appoint Still and it’s fallen through and now they’ve panicked into appointing an available candidate.

Only way this becomes palatable for me is if it’s a contract until end of season. He’s either good and proves us wrong and stays, or he’s just here as an extended caretaker but in a way that “saves” Dodds to stay long term. (If Dodds was until end of season he’d probably end up leaving the club after)

I'm not sure about these exciting other options from abroad....Lets be honest..90/95% of our fans have never heard of them. They currently manage small clubs with no great expectations.
I'm not defending the Beale appointment, but the guy has been at high profile clubs like Chelsea, Villa, Rangers and QPR. His record is not the worst and but for the fact he was beaten too many times by Celtic, chances are he would still be at Rangers... Give him a chance...if it goes tits up, Dodds will be a shoe in for the role

I’m not being funny, but all this chat about an exciting coach from Europe, just to appoint Beale just screams cheap option, serious questions here
Well he may not be a European coach but has European experience but he is from a foreign country......

Scotland.<doh>

I'll get me coat.

Well to say underwhelming would be an understatement. This is the first time I'm beginning to question KLDs ambition. Another unemployed manager, who hasn't lasted longer than 12 months in the 2 jobs he's had so far and constant negativity about his style of play.

Could this be the quickest the fans turn against a manager and in turn start to turn against those above him...

Mowbray won 2 of his first 10 - against Wigan and Reading who both went down. Nout like an overreaction!

You’d think we’d given Tony Mowbrinho the sack and replaced him with Steve Bruce :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Absolute joke appointment that like. The board have massively put themselves on the backfoot and gave your WMS and Chris Westherspoons an opportunity to stick the knife in.
Will Still has a release clause which triggers in the summer?!?! Are they waiting for that? Why bother with the scandinavian lads if Beale was there all along?
Baffling.

Might aswell have kept Mowbray ffs
