I don't believe he's "turned down" a deal. He'll just be delaying signing it, the same way Rigg is.
Turning down is a finite thing. The journalist has intentionally gone for emotive language.
…totally understandable. I don’t believe he’ll be here much longer regardless of who the new manager is anyway. Good player who’ll have plenty of ambition.

100% this. Heard this about Neil at the end of the season. Loads of the squad are deeply unhappy about the second half of last season. Basically felt abandoned.

It’s a massive concern the last 6 months. I’m confident that once we get our new gaffer all will be well. And we will quickly forget this ****e period. But until then it’s natural to be concerned at all levels

Dont think folk have said that all, some are more relaxed than others but all (well most) are concerned about whats happening
