Last season we only won 16 games with an xG for of 1.51 per game, that’s higher than Hull who had an average xG for of 1.46 per game. Hull won 3 more games than we did.

We lost 22 games with an average xG against of 1.17 per game. Hull lost 8 games less than we did with an average xG against of 1.33 per game.

So on average we were less likely to concede and also more likely to score than Hull last season…but we were worse when it came to results.

I know the club are very data driven but this is why I don’t put too much stock into xG statistics in particular.

On the other hand it does show that we should have been much higher than we finished unfortunately we were tactically absolutely ****e :emoticon-0102-bigsm
A lot of our stats are skewed by the time under Mowbray and then after his departure. Our xG under Mowbray was near the best in the division but it fell off a cliff after he went.

I think Rosenior will be tied up in the next day or so personally
Same, but I thought that about Still and was then told Jansen was ours.

Would be happy with Rosenior if it’s him, but it’ll be a tad annoying going from Mowbray to him 4 months later (if you ignore Beale and Dodds), which is a sideways step in my view. Whatever though. He’ll get my backing and think he could be a good fit for our team.
