I don’t want Rosenior but he’s a better option than some of those mentioned, definitelyIf, and it's a big if, Challinor and Robinson are on our shortlist then surely Rosenior is as well. Unless he has said no thanks.

You have no idea what the shortlist is tho, none of us doJansen apart the supposted shortlist is absolutle shocking and will prove without a doubt this club has no ambition at all even the happy clappers could not deny it
Agree with your post except for the last sentence. We as a club should always be aiming to be in the top flight, we have big advantages with gate revenue and top training facilities a lot of teams in this league dont have. Clubs like Norwich (who we finished above in 22/23) have sacked a manager who finished in the playoffs and went and took a manger who finished 2nd in the Danish top flight last season within a couple of weeks of their sacking. If we take 3+ months to go for Stockports manager who was managing in the conference 2 years ago, I'd be massively disappointed. If our goal is actually to achieve promotion (the club suggests it is) then surely we can aim higher than Challinor. This thread was started when Mowbray was in charge and because folk wanted him gone. We might as just have it up permanently the way we go through coaches to be honest. It is depressing when only Moyes or Ross have managed 1 full season in the last decade. There is something wrong with how our club thinks about head coaches in my opinion.
I was messaging a couple of footy mates about Rosenior this week. I really rate him. My mate said he thought Rosenior would be crazy to consider us because we dont give coaches any sort of chance. He actually compared us to Birmingham in our approach to coaches. I argued the toss but then realised he was probably right, at least as an outsider looking in, which is what most coaches and agents will be doing. I respect what looks to KLD standards, even if I think Still is a poor fit. I think he couls well land on a very good fit with Jansen and hope he does. If not though I dont think we are in any position to turn our noses up at the likes of Challinor, personally.

Challinor, maybe.Anyone on here who’d defend the club if Challinor or Robinson were appointed?
This is where we tweet a random flag and appoint someone who hasn't been mentioned at allThis was just passed on to me, but this Stockport based reporter reckons Challinor hasn't even had talks with us...

That’s my worry would he be a big enough name for rigg for example to sign his pro contract? I’m not so sure, can’t wait for this whole saga to be over with, got me demented now hahaChallinor has succeed at every job he has done and deserves credit. However, his playing career has all been a small clubs at a lower level as is his management. He will have a job on his hands to impress players, the players he has got moving will have been lower league players whereas many of our player have totally different aspirations. We say we want promotion but Challinor smacks of desperation. If he came he may do well but I think, as with Beale, most fans would see disaster written all over it. I think the vast majority of fans would see such an appointment would be further proof that KLD and Speakman have lost their way and the club is just too big for them.
Its actually a joke by the Club.Supporters couldn’t be blamed. 100+ days to appoint one of those two?
Obviously the club can't make such a decision based on the demands or aspirations of a 16 year old but appointing someone like Challinor suggest the club's ambitions are way below the 40k+ fanbase and the players. To me it would spell the start of the end for KLD. The appointment of Jansen, however, would have the opposite effect, not that he would guarantee success, but he would command a bit of respect due to his background and would be closer to what KLD/Speakman's fabled model. Challinor would suggest they are chancers in the mould of Stewart Donald. That’s my worry would be a big enough name for rigg for example to sign his pro contract? Hard to argue with you there mate, Challinor POTENTIALLY could be a very shrewd appointment but I think we need to aim higher to turn the negatives of last season around and get everyone on board, Jansen does thatObviously the club can't make such a decision based on the demands or aspirations of a 16 year old but appointing someone like Challinor suggest the club's ambitions are way below the 40k+ fanbase and the players. I thought Dave Challinor was a darts player?
