How good would it be if the club came out and stated Nixon's assertions, not for the first time during this process, have been wide of the mark and that the club are making positive progress towards hiring a coach who can take the team towards promotion. And that Nixon has no credible source within the club and should not be taken seriously given his history of spreading unsubstantiated rumours and lies. I think I'd enjoy that more than us actually hiring a coach.
The club were apparently taken aback by the fans' reaction to the Beale appointment. They were genuinely shocked by it. I wonder if they are concerned this time around enough to try and gauge the fans feelings before finalising an appointment. I've said previously that I hate the idea of pandering to fans' whims as we're generally a pretty clueless bunch (it's how we ended up with Defoe back here and nearly with Keane rather than Neil) but after what's happened with Beale and now this close season I really do think that the fans' reaction to an appointment is going to have to be a huge consideration and paramount in their selection. P
I didn't say you had said that. It was more a general comment about the narrative on the thread and the uproar about Alan Nixon's latest guess
I spout on all summer that Nixon knows nout, he puts one article up that I think could be a disaster for us and I’ve fallen for it hook line and sinker, **** sake
I was through at Seaham having my dinner (lunch to you posh ****ers) in The Lamp Room, glanced at my phone to see that I had 22 alerts on my phone, yes I thought, its done. No, it was my **** eyes and how quickly I swivelled my head, it said 2
Yeah, they'd be disappointing but if kicking off makes them less likely to succeed, kicking off is self-defeating.
Nah, he's not the one for me. I know there is context to it all, but his record looks mediocre at best and he's only 5'8" so am getting Lee Johnson Scrappy Doo vibes
If, and it's a big if, Challinor and Robinson are on our shortlist then surely Rosenior is as well. Unless he has said no thanks. It doesn't make sense.
