Steve Bruce back to 4/1, they dont appear to have a clue which is strange because i always thought they were pretty much spot on

I think its awesome that people still think they can present a case to persuade TWF that Brownie shouldnt come back to City.

I dont get the Holloway thing either, I suspect that, thanks to the internet, people just throw all sorts of crap at something like this and hope some of it sticks. No wonder Lambert, who is usually schtum, came out today and told people to stfu speculating, he's happy where he is.

....unlike Grant Holt.....<whistle>

Iv'e asked this question before. Why not go back ?

I'll answer that!!!

The reason is that if you go back, it's because you were successful first time round, otherwise why go back. Because you succeeded first time round, second time round acquires additional expectation and consequent pressure. This together with a completely different set of variables means, statistically, that going back rarely succeeds.

funny how they sack barmby and pearson and then theres no news leaked out of city..........

I was thinking the very same, nothing of any solidity anywhere. Even those normally in the know, don't know!

AP and NB are keeping schtum, Watkiss is out looking for a new job(Wigley is almost certainly doing the same) and being out of season nothing is dripping out via the sponsors either, short of getting a lift somewhere with Ehab, it's impossible to find out what's going on at the moment.

P.s if it is him he's going to beneficial for Chester, Hobbs and Cooper's development. There were also alot worse managers been mentioned on here, season before last he finished 10th in Premier league with Sunderland ffs. I know he spent a fair whack of money but a pretty decent achievement nonetheless. Obviously he won't have anyway near the money he had at Sunderland, he also got Brum promoted The Man U connection is obviously a bonus. I'll give him a chance anyway.

I might be missing something here, but we wanted a high profile manager who is well respected, a good past behind them and assumed we wouldn't get one, like normal, because, we're not a big club, not attractive etc.

If we do get Bruce, surely that ticks all the boxes from the majority of fans??
