Was going to give fool me once a go but saw that Michelle keegan is in it, for me one of the most wooden actors going, I just don’t get it, yes fairly pretty but no acting skill or am I being too hard on her… try one episode and see me thinks….
Absolutely love Joanna lumley though so probs not all bad…

lol. It wasn’t bad, she, or her character, got better as it went on, but the story was hard to believe and to suspend your instincts to call bullshit. She’s easy on the eyes though.

Lumley is past it, past GILF level I suppose lol, but there’s a lot of old gits on here so fair dues!

Just finished watching Ted Lasso, it started out good with Season 1, only 10 episodes. I was happy when I saw Season 2 was 12 episodes, but they were longer, still a bit of humour there, but much more drama. Then came Season 3, more drama, Even longer episodes, by the time I finished it, I was bored.
I see it’s supposed to be back for Season 4, I think it’s a terrible idea & should be left as it is!
I’m also disappointed that the great media king Acun didn’t even get his the club in there somewhere.

Watched Blitz last night, it's ok but I wasn't expecting Paul Weller to be in it! Spent the first 10 mins going it can't be, looks like him, had to pause it and check! Odd film to make your debut in though?

I find it ironic how they used parts of 'Ull for London when the 'Ull Blitz never gets mentioned in war documentaries.

I found ted lasso utter ****e and cant see how it got more than 1 season lol

Just watched series 1 of “ The jury “ from 2002
It’s really good, starting series 2 tomorrow, either that or “ Crow girl.” Some cracking actors in it, when they were a lot younger, well worth a watch if you missed it 23 years ago lol. Ps. It’s on itvx

Just finished watching a docu-drama; 'Lost Women Spies' - it's about Vera Atkins, a high ranking operative in the SOE during WW2, and her part in enabling Churchill's plan to infiltrate female spies into the French resistance, it later details her search for her missing/captured/killed female spies and her battle to get assistance from the male 'establishment'. A great watch if you're a WW2 buff.

Some brave women there.

Some brave women there.

Certainly were, I know there's some artistic licence in these things but, one thing that can't be denied is that these women still went knowing that female combatants weren't governed by the rules of the Geneva Convention, should they be caught they were at the mercy (or lack of it) of their captors.

Dammit, it's on Sky which I don't have. This is my type of programme, I'll have to wait 'til it comes on Netflix or Prime.

I've finished watching Fool Me Once and I quite it enjoyed it, though it did get progressively more daft, as seems to be the way with all Harlan Coben stories.

Also made a rare trip to the cinema on Sunday, to see A Complete Unknown. Very good film, well acted and well filmed and all the more impressive when you know that Timothee Chamalet (Bob Dylan) and Monica Barbaro (Joan Baez) did all their own singing. Well worth a watch.

He spent 5 years perfecting the role, learning to play the guitar and learning his accent and mannerisms.
Should have spent a bit more time learning to ride a motorbike though, stalling the engine when coming to a stop. Everyone who's ridden old brit bikes knows you have to snick it into neutral before coming to a stop.

Agree about the bike. At one point he kick starts a Triumph with the limpest of little leg waves.

Naah.
