Watching it now Chazz, one episode in. Same standard as the Rome series a few years back, very watchable.

I've just been reminded of a series, not sure if it's been mentioned: 'Mr. Inbetween'- it's excellent.
The Gentlemen, new series by Guy Richie staring Vinny Jones so you can guess what type of thing. First episode was OK the rest just seemed to be stuff added on to make it longer.
A few years back, Rover!?!?! More like two decades and two wives ago....
I must admit I make my mind up very quickly with programs - this one struck me immediately as strange CGI(shades of 300), but also, from the very start, shoehorning of contemporary 'themes': female empowerment , the noble savage etc and also just so jumbled. Anyway, it might get better but I'm not investing any more time in it.
If anyone recommends 'The Bear', disassociate yourself from them. This is garbage also.
I watched it all but had it on in the background in the end. It's left a storyline for a season two if they want it.
