Off Topic NETFLIX and Box Set series Thread.

Just watched the first series of “ Hidden “ a lot of Welsh spoken with English subtitles. It started slowly and at one point I was ready to give up but by the 3/4th episode I found myself thinking this is quite good. Starting the second series tomorrow.

 

What channels it on?
I looked for it and couldn’t find it

 

Have just finished watching Halston in which Ewan McGregor takes on the role of an iconic fashion designer whose life spirals out of control. The male sex may be too much for some!

 

It’s on bbc player mate, only just seen your reply, only just ****ing got up to be honest, lazy bastard.

 

There is another series of the same name but this is the one I watched...

Just binge watched The Killing. Had seen the first two before but not the third one for some reason. Very enjoyable with a completely unexpected ending.

 

I'm in the process of rewatching it from the start, it's great TV and, let's be honest, watching Sofie Grabol is no hardship at all.

 

Rewatched the Bridge as well. Still great to watch even though you know what is going to happen.
Code 37 Sex Crimes is well worth a look for anyone who hasn't seen it. Wouldn't mind an ind depth interrogation with Hanna Maes.

Funny, in recent years all my favourite series except The Shield and the first series of Fargo have been subtitled European series.

 

if you like the shield Barchullona, give Justified a go. Shayne /walton goggins played a bit part in the first series but due to fans responses the writers gave him almost a co starring part.

plus it will be familiar territory, the accents are that thick you will need subtitles.

I just watched it too, quite good, more red herrings in it than most series of its type.

 

Schools of the silver darlings...

 

There was a really good fish restaurant in Aberdeen called the Silver Darling, though it stands out in my mind as one time I went there and ordered a bottle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape it was corked. Funny how the bad things stick in your mind.

 

It wasn't fish we were eating, it was a Russian I was entertaining who insisted on us eating steaks. He wanted and Aberdeen Angus steak as he had heard of them. Fortunately, they also sold good steaks, so that is why.
