What you have to consider is Prime is not just TV, you also get next day delivery on items. In addition you get (limited) access to Amazon Music and discount if you want the full package.

Is it as good as Netflix, no! But Prime is about a bit more.

For 7.99 I think it's worth it, loads of content to watch.

If you order a fair amount of stuff from Amazon then the free P+P could make it worthwhile on it's own.

Free books and magazines too, as well as a few films and that.

Not to forget, they now also have football on from time to time!! Not sure what rights they've got for next season, but they certainly had a few this past season.

BTW, when talking of free magazines & books (and newspapers), don't forget about your library! Not meaning for hard copy books which we all know about, but for the vast range of stuff that's available FREE in digital format / online. I've only recently discovered it and realised I've been wasting money on magazine subscriptions etc for years!!

This too ^^^^. Forgot to mention the footy. They have lots of other sports too.

All things considered it's probably the best for value.

Thanks fellas, you've just convinced me, it'll go alongside Netflix as an alternative. <cheers>

I always struggle to find something appealing on Netflix. I don't like tv enough to commit to a multi-episode multi-series thing, I just want to sit now and again and watch a one-off half-decent film. I usually end up going to bed or watching a Lewis repeat on ITV3. It keeps going up aswell, £11 now I think.

I think Netflix has become slow to rotate content (or come up with new stuff). Once you burn through all of the good stuff (of which there is quite a bit)...you are then sat waiting.

I recently got Disney, has lots of good stuff.

Maybe the trick is to just have it for a set period per year.

Yeah, I have had it for years and its worth it for the delivery alone. I rarely watch Prime Video but then I have a media server system illegally plundering the internet.

I’ve just watched Anatomy Of A Scandal, a four part drama on Netflix, about a politician caught playing away.

Thought it was pretty good, particularly Sienna Miller, who plays the politician’s wife.

I’m possibly a bit late to the party on this one as there are now four seasons on Netflix but Drive To Survive as a documentary/drama is fantastic.

Finished series 4 last night. Ageee it was left a bit to the imagination as to exactly what happened. You either draw your own conclusions or they will do a follow up despite saying it has ended for good. Who knows?

Maybe a spin off or something. But yeah, left a lot open to the imagination.

I can't believe i left it til now to discover 'Rick and Morty'.

Tis on netflix for anyone who likes adult Cartoons.

The bit where morty plugs into the simulation 'Roy' at the arcade is exactly how I imagine the simulation theory would work.

It gets increasingly hit and miss as the seasons go on but there are some absolutely brilliant episodes kicking around.

I also enjoyed related series; Solar Opposites and HarmonQuest (quite hard to hold of, unless something changed).

Anyone been watching Britain's Best Takeaway?

For anyone who hasn't, there's five top takeaways in each category (from memory Fish & Chips, Burgers, Kebabs, Curry, Mexican, Pizza and Noodles) competing each night, to be crowned best takeaway.

I mention it, only because the burger episode was won by Dope Burger (Bev Rd and Witham) and the noodle night was won by Sumo Pan Asian (Hessle/Beverley).

    That sounds decent. Channel?

Did they tackle the curry, mushy peas or gravy question?

BBC2 and I missed the fish & chip episode, so I've no idea if gravy made an appearance.
