How did he get on on loan this season? Is he likely to go to Watford on a permanent? If so for how much?

I completely forgot all about him.

I completely forgot all about him.

He only made about 1 appearance off the bench for them, and hardly ever made the machday squad. He'll defo not be signing for them permanent.

We've got to stop this loaning out crap.

Hopefully the new regime can sort that out.

What about when it makes players whose stock is low higher.

Khazri, Lens, Djilobodji for example. All worth nothing as an SAFC player to sell, all of a sudden have a good season with a loan club and have some worth.

Swings and roundabouts for me like.

Wouldn't have been so bad had we found a club who'd had any interest in playing him, loaning other players is going to get us income we wouldn't have got other wise. We might actually sell Papy off loaning him cause he had a good season. But N'Dong. our record signing, loaned to a club with no interest in playing him.

Before somebody says hindsight, read some of the interviews with Watford fan blogs, they didn't expect him to feature from the off so Bain should have worked out he was sending him to the wrong club.

Probably just loaned him to save some of his wages
Most likely would not have played for us the rest of the season
.......?..!??

I actually think N'Dong is decent, not the failure some think, he was outstanding against the Boro playing out wide, he tore them apart first half, in his last game for us if I remember rightly, he is far from slow, in fact he is very quick and good at closing down players, very raw though. We paid far too much for him if the figures quoted are anywhere close, nothing new there of course, hopefully times they are a changing.

He'll be back with us for pre season I think, but he'll be sold for a massive loss IMO
Won’t be a loss now. That debt is gone so anything we get for him will be technically profit. His fee was also heavily weighted on clauses so we haven’t paid that much for him. Made 49 appearances for us. One of his clauses was 50!

Consistency was clearly his problem at PL level, which is why we should have gone all out to make sure he shouldn't have gone there. All we needed to do was loan him to a club where he'd play games. Preferably out of the country where he could show his level. We clearly took the short term money saver loaning him to the ones who'll pay most of his wages and totally forgot about having to sell him later. Surely a French club would have took him if we'd bothered to think about a future sale.

That's an interesting point, I wonder what would have happened if he hadn't been red carded , as Bri says more thought on the loan deal was needed. I remember the Watford fans wondering why they had signed him at the time..

Provided of course we're still not paying his transfer fee which I bet we are.
I’m sure the fee was massively weighted in clauses. Much like Wickham was. We never paid the full fee as he didn’t meet the clauses. Although I’m not sure what they were.
