It will have been, It won't be anywhere near 14m but most of it won't have been clause related, we'll still owe on the deal cause that's how we were doing business, look at borini 2m a year over 4 years then clauses(thank **** he didn't activate any). These are the early financial problems the new owners are going to face along with getting the wage bill down imo.
What did Bain do wrong here? He shifted at least part of N'Dong's wages off our payroll onto Watford's. IF we can get his wages covered, a Loan might be best for all concerned and the idea of sending him to Europe, where he has, apparently' played well in the past seems a good one, to me.
Would he have made a difference to our survival bid and what did we save by loaning him out, one we will never know, and the other is pure guess work for the time being. What we do know is that he never played a game at Watford and it is unlikely to say the least, that they will take up the option to buy him, so it was hardly a success.
The thing I remember about N'Dong's move out of the club is Colemen being made to look like a prick. He attempted to make a strong stance, saying that loans would not be considered without a purchase at the end of it. Bain then agreed the loan, and made Coleman look stupid
Looks bad but depends. When asked about the deals which were already in place regarding income Donald said these deals were made with the previous regime so they would go to them. I can’t imagine it’d be different when it comes to the outgoings but I guess we won’t know until the financial info comes out (I may also be looking at it from a “in a perfect world” scenario)
I've already said, we chased the temporary saving over the better long term savings by sending his to a club which (A) was competing in league he's not consistent enough to play in and (B)was at least 5th place pecking order. Low and behold, he didn't play a single minute. Now he's off the radar and we'll be lucky to get a loan when we need the sale. How would a loan be best for us when our future already hinges on early investment. We need to Sell Ndong, a loan is useless, debt is mounting as we speak. We should have sent him to Europe instead of to Watford, that was the mistake imo, as I've already said.
It does and some of our old signing hopefully won't hold us down for long, but Ndong was bought for big money at a time we were stretching payments way too far. And although I believe that NDong will have been the last signing we made in this manner, I still think logically after Rodwell, Ndong is the next player in line causing us finatial difficulty for the new gaffas. I think the choice of loan last season will make him harder to sell with him disapearing of the face of the earth for a while. Got a feeling we'll only get a loan offer for him now, either that or a sale won't be enough to cover the payments we owe. hope I'm wrong like
Might have put on wrong thread but just put this on Transfer thread "Apparently 3 clubs interested in NDong - Cardiff, Lyons and an unnamed club but apparently he doesn't want to return to France"
Aye, will they part with cash though. Me thinks we'll be forced to loan him. Please go back to france.
Had we kept him for the second half of the season we’d have still gone down. Didn’t make an impact at all first half so why would that change second half? Think our best option is a Khazri style loan to put him in the shop window next summer hopefully.
I quite agree that our cause would be best served IF he could be sold, but like Rodwell, though for very different reasons, this may not be possible. So a loan might well be the best alternative, to get at least part of his wages off the payroll.
If bain had done the same thing as he did with Borini, lens, Khazri and Papy there's good chance a sale would have been made this window, those will sell I believe. Even Pappy who hard as it is to beleive, had a good season playing at his level. Oh we may have to put up with another loan for Ndong, lets hope we do it right this time.
****ing impressive getting him off our books like. He was contracted till 2021. Please pass ya medical.
