Are you talking about Rodwell or Ndong? Because Ndong was not on 70k a week when we signed him as if that was the case how could he have been a 'better value' transfer than Mvilla? (who would have been asking about the same in wages and cost us half the transfer fee) I'd estimate he came in on around 40k but due to relegation clauses he should be on close to 20k now which is still big money for a club like Torino.
Someone mentioned Rodwell somewhere above and I've ran and jumped at that thinking I was on the Rodwell thread. Yeah there's no way Ndong is on 70k - my bad.
I made the same mistake mate. Got half way through thread and didnt know which leeching cm we were on about
His first premier league club I dount he was on 35k. And that will have been something like a 25k payrise from what he was on. I reckon he'll be on about 21k but few european teams will be able to pay him that though Cardiff probably could.
No mate, that would have put him joint top earner with a world class PL proven goal scorer. No way was he on 70 for an overseas player in his PL move. I'd say half that personally. Edit, we on about Ndong or Rodwell? I'm on about Ndong
It was a tongue in cheek remark, but I agree Bri, he won't have been on massive money. He probably had add ons that gave him pay rises during his contract.
I got mixed up between Rodwell and N’Dong (as above) so hold my hands up there. No I haven’t seen any of their pay slips, by that logic you can’t dispute what I’m saying either unless you have?
Likewise by your logic.... Not even sure if we're on about Ndong or Rodwell anymore, but it's still the same
What are you talking about? Unless you have proof of what he's being paid, then its all rumour, its not hard to get your head around. I expect your reply of talking about "logic"
This is worrying because he signed a five year contract in August 2016 and it sounds as if there isn't a relegation clause for wage reductions. It MAY be that a loan could be our best option even if it only gets part of his wages off our books.
