What some of you delicate flowers needs to understand is the difference between robust disagreement and personal insult. Consider these two statements;

That is arrogant nonsense!

You are an arrogant idiot!

One is an opinion, the other a personal insult. It really isn't difficult to tell the difference and most people know when they are having their opinion questioned rather than being insulted.
This thread was an opportunity for us to clear the air and hopefully all get back to the football, pending what happens with the off-topic situation. Which is where we came in, really.

This is set to rumble on, like a Gaston transfer, but longer, thats my prediction.


So chill out Saints, people work hard giving us somewhere to go, don't piss on them, you don't have to conform, but you do need to consider your approach. We can bitch, we can moan, but lets not do it for the sake of doing it, which to me, it seems has started to happen recently.

I know it was a joke hence the smiley. My asperger's isn't that far along the spectrum that I can't see humour if it is in a written form. But you're still on my ignore list.......until I get sooo pee'd off with the continuous blue posts in threads.

Exactly! Or instead of, "**** off and die you worthless piece of ****", say "It's my opinion that I'd be happier should you **** off and die". Apparently, that's fine!

It's funny that people who try not to swear (using * to replace one letter, for example) end up causing more harm than those of us who endlessly blast off a sea of ****s and ****s. Good times.
 
People are too offended by swearing these days, what possible harm does it do.
 
Part of the problem is that it's getting to the stage where it seems people are looking for things within posts to pounce on, in terms of those they see as the antagonists (be they old or young), rather than actually extrapolating the useful parts from the posts which is a bit of a sad situation. We need a Kofi Annan style ceasefire to be honest - let bygones be bygones and try and respond to comments on threads in a considered and mature (and that's irrelevant of age) manner. Yes, yes, I realise that's probably asking for too much.......
 
There needs to be a sarcasm and 'i'm just taking the piss' smiley.
