That's my point with Robo, who started this thread after complaining to the mods about a couple of jokes (I didn't see the one about his sister). The mods acted as they saw fit & deleted the posts. Robo deleted his own posts as he had with others earlier in the week where he set about threatening others, long before anybody offered to bum his sister or shag his Mrs, told others they were illiterate, told others they were ****s, pricks twats etc etc. You can't pick & choose when to play the moral high ground or cry like a tart when ones own moral standards are turned on oneself.

All I've done is highlight both the inaccuracies in his posts (which he's now deleted) & the doubles standards he has regarding his own views & principles.

Are you saying we shouldn't join in the debate? It's not a paid position ffs, we're just posters who merge stuff now and then.

Why should they remain impartial? They are Hull City AFC supporters who contribute to the forum. They also voluntarily carry out moderating duties. A role that is very much unappreciated & undervalued by many.

Why should the board change for you? There are rules & the majority of the time they are adhered to.

If the site is not up to your high moral standards there is always a simple solution.

Whoever the mods are & as long as you're around I'll be here telling the world you're a ****. You ****.
 
I spent months fighting to have the groomer who posted as James Lodge removed from the HDM site and got hardly any support from other posters. I was called obsessive by some, both online and in private.

I cannot say that I have ever read any posts that indicate any grooming activity.

Absolutely not... I'm just pointing out that moderator roles on other sites carries a greater responsibility, and their function is usually solely to moderate rather than opinion-ate.

The joke that started this was nothing to do with Robo. It was posted by Erik, who must be loving all of this. I just hope he got banned for it.

Fez, I'm just wondering, what is your opinion on people who enjoy extreme movies such as horror, black comedy etc.

Are they all lunatics who are going to go on a crazed ethnic clensing genocide campaign? Are they all vile human beings? Do they lack moral standards?

Do you think they'd sit there and watch with keen fascination whilst another human being is being mercilessly hacked to pieces?

What about the film writers, producers and actors who agree to work on it?

Same here m8 as are a few others on here and it is something I should have done ages ago, a lot of the posters on here are decent blokes but a few tend to follow like sheep as it makes them look good, but they do not know when to stop unfortunately.

It is a shame that the persons on block tend to spoil the run of the thread with this person is blocked message but hey ho at least I don't have to read their posts or respond to them :)

This reminded me of a conversation my Mrs had with our 13 year old last week. They were talking about video games being related to mass murders & rape as she thought he was spending a little too much time on HALO, COD & GTA.

He replied

"You watch The Great British Bake Off. It doesn't mean you're gonna turn into a baker, although we can live in hope"

Sarcy little twat, I don't know where he gets it from. I pissed my pants.

I agree with the gist of what you say (in that post) and have not disagreed with you, or I don't believe I have. The first post of this thread was Robo more or less stating that he felt folk (he included himself) had got it wrong; in that I agree with him, he got it wrong and he was ably assisted by the usual baiters and trolls.

I'm not trying to police anything here; if you want to swear then fine, there's the filter for that, if you want to tell jokes, then fine, but keep them non-**** and non-racist and it might be prudent to respect the innocent family members of the posting community. Is that really too much to expect on a community football forum that has made itself representative in the wider community of the city?
 
Is it just me, or would a photo of the sister in question benefit this discussion somewhat? Nothing saucy or anything, more to get a feel for her.

If you check back, I was on that sick joke thread being as vociferous as you in my condemnation of the majority of the jokes on that thread.

<laugh> . I've got loads of Suited's mrs but no sister!!

Though i do agree with Fez, i didnt like the racist, **** jokes. Not good.
