I think you have to put up with it I'm afraid and accept that if you participate in a forum that has specifically attempted to avoid any real code of conduct, then you have to use your judgement as to whether you should read certain threads or not.
Does that mean you think I'm a nasty, sick, vile, horrible excuse for a human being who is using this site as a means for grooming underage boys then?
Where have I said that there are posters carrying out grooming on here? I have used the example of the two perves, who are from Doncaster, who are currently in the frame for countless cases of grooming on all sorts of sites, under numerous identities. My point is that when we accept some of the **** I have seen on here as normal and acceptable, we create an ideal environment for the perverts to slip in under the radar. I often see posts on here that I, and others, judging by their comments, suspect to be coming from immature teenagers and yes, they are vulnerable immature teenagers. I accept that it will continue on here or elsewhere, and I will continue to protest against it, as I believe it is fundamentally more important that the name-change campaign, which I also support.
Are you telling me Suited's better half is Big Sue from Hull? Readers Wives regular centre spread( punt intended). Get to ****.
In case there's any parents of posters looking in, most of the moderation of the board ticks away quietly in the background. We discuss suspicious posts and posting patterns. If someone was using the internet for grooming, they'd clearly stand out a mile on here. Also, there are 'rules' for posting, but they tend to be general rather than specific and most people are comfortable with that. The simplest way if you've an issue, and the one most people use is to PM a mod and we'll act accordingly and quietly in the background, to save the board being cluttered with mod stuff rather than chatter.
Big Sue from Hull (38) who likes paragliding, walks on the beach, Viking reenactments and spending time with her 3 pugs?!?!?!?
Fez, you alluded to simular techniques being employed. I understand where you are coming from and I am only saying that I haven't seen evidence of grooming. I'm not disagreeing with your stance regarding the content of the "jokes". I should point out that it really is a good job that you didn't appear to have read the deleted post that mentioned you and Chaz earlier.
We have a system of censorship and I live by that as most do. What's your definition of extreme, I mean, I know you enjoy the good old baby-rape jokes and extreme racism is right down your street, so where does extreme go for you? You may of missed it, but there is good evidence that shows a link between extreme film/games,etc and the mal-adustment of some individuals who go on to carry out some pretty dreadful deeds; but of course, to some it just comes naturally, don't you think?
Mel, there are no guarantees in life, but for someone to try to squeeze grooming into a discussion on events on this board smacks of their lack of understanding of how the board works.
The very same. Game old bird is Big Sue. I was thinking of joining a Viking reenactment group in the hope I might get to share a tent with Big Sue, she'd keep you warm on a cold winters night. Plenty to get hold of. Suited is a lucky man.
Biggest plaits this side of Goole. Make sure you turn the tent light off, we don't want to see the robust outline of the Don pillaging Sue's hamlet!
I understand where you stand, Mel; some of the banter and kidology on here are similar to the techniques of groomers, it how they seek to be missed in the crowd. I also accept that the moderators do a valued and voluntary job and have said so on more occasions than the once when I believe they misjudged the situation over the extreme jokes. I never saw the joke or comment made against me, but nothing would surprise me, as there are a small number who confuse their democratic rights with their social responsibility - just as another poster remarked, it would be a good call that they wouldn't be as brave this side of their keyboard - just an observation, not an offer to meet in Linnets car park.
