Advertising companies must laugh out of their arses when people pick up their latest stupid catch phrase. There are still people who use 'simples' and think it's hilarious. People are just highly suggestible and gullible I suppose ... ... hasta la vista baby.
Buzzword bingo was always my favourite game whenever the corporate big wigs summoned the staff for one of their pow-wows
You should try football commentator bingo. Have to drink each time a commentator uses a cliche or a particular comment. Customise it to any sport and any commentator
I worked for a company (Rio Tinto ) that embarked on this massive organisational cultural transformation exercise. Vocabulary was very important to implementers. There were many howlers but my personal favourite was when the structure of the company was looked at, what were previously known as departments, HAD to be henceforth known as and referred to as MUTUAL RECOGNITION UNITS. "Lets throw this idea into the long grass and see what comes out" or also in a meeting a few times "lets unbox this idea". When a building project was at a certain stage it was "shovel ready". We had a senior manager who was like Gus out of Drop the dead donkey. We used to make big words up to see if he would use them again - complete and utter bellend he was.
