Elfs, please don't take my following post as any kind of dig at you - I wouldn't do that. But I do tend to agree with Smudger about the era of division between Charlton fans over Roland being firmly in the past now ... as long as the Belgian remains well away from the running of CAFC and does not cause any more trouble. Granted we did not fully see off Duchatelet as we so badly wanted to, and it still hurts that the evil old scrote owns the land and the assets, making CAFC tenants in our own stadium & training ground. What he did will never be forgiven by most of us. If it wasn't for Thomas Sandgaard Charlton Athletic would be another Bury FC by now - closed down and expelled from the league. But we do have Thomas Sandgaard (thank God) and he is working towards reuniting all the dismembered parts of Charlton Athletic, and undoing all the harm that Roland did. For me, as long as TS is helping to heal the wounds of the past, we as fans can put past differences behind us and focus on the future we now have - Sandgaard's greatest gift to us. I had a relatively minor argument on ITTV a few days ago concerning Bowyer, and RD was partly the reason. But I didn't feel comfortable bringing that up again, and if I had a chance to do that debate over again I would make my case differently. I'm not suggesting you or anyone else should just forgive and forget like nothing happened. But there is a lot of enjoyment to be had just from reading and occasionally joining in the banter over there. Aside from evenings after a bad result perhaps the atmos is a lot less factional and fractious than it used to be. Generally folks are getting along better. Just my thoughts (by the way, I am taking Reams at his word that you aren't banned and are welcome to go back. If you find that you are still blocked from re-joining over there I'll try to help sort that out if I can).
@The Punter’s Pal has sent a flurry of text messages saying that 606 has gone down the toilet in his abscence. I have said that he'll do a snidey and join without coming clean. The silence tells me all I need to know.
Nigel is a contrarian but I have no problem with that. It's the personal abuse on ITTV that grates with me. The Dear Leader, Kim Jung Ream, is the worst offender which is a shame because when he is on form he is very insightful.
Maybe you could create a daily summary of comments, maybe called "Outside the tent and pissing in" or something similar
The darts player is now saying I am to blame for @Dick Plumb1 and @AllHellLetLoose "not posting on 606 anymore".
