He obviously never saw the bogs in the Fulwell end with that endless stream of piss inches from your feet and the stench. Christ the SOL is like a palace in comparison.

There is a precedent for this - Charlton started a scheme called Valley Express way back when they were in the Premier, and they still run it now. The club arranged coaches to pick up supporters from all over Kent and Surrey, and some of Sussex for a nominal cost - something like a fiver. It literally added thousands to their crowd, and probably still accounts for best part of a thousand, judging by the number of coaches there seem to be.

    Good idea BB.

I think the problem Quinny will have is that he is a voice in the wilderness. I know other clubs have the same problem so why aren't the chairmen of other clubs coming out in support of him. Could it be he is about the only one who played football at a professional level. It is true what they say about there being strength in numbers so if more shouted up about it something may be done.

Roker At the outset can I say that I find your threads informative about our great club.I'ts just that recently you seem to be having a slight pop at the best Chairman in the EPL.Personally I don't care too much if he said we needed to fill the stadium to create a hostile athmosphere this week and contradicted himself saying it was about money the week before.

He is not responsible for this poxy Global recession but like all of us he has to deal with the consequences. It would be a poor mind indeed who was'nt concerned about money now.Hard times.Equally Niall Quinn would be as proud as any of us to see the SOL packed to the rafters and rocking. We are still on the up ,stay on the magic carpet ,and the good times will come.

Cut the man some slack. Haway the Lads
