I much prefer Hulls attempts at bring in up and coming youths rather than older has-beens - but that's just my personal preference There's no denying the signings Sven has made will be good for the next couple of seasons (max) but at what cost? Massive transfer fees? Huge wages? What happens if you dont make the promise land this season and\or the owners get bored (or are all Leicester fans too naive to even contemplate that)? Meanwhile Hull's squad is developing and maturing together for many years to come - living within their means. Average age of Hulls squad vs Leicester's? I see no reason to be jealous... Money doesn't buy success. Unless Leicester hit the ground running I can see Sven being shown the door by xmas
You really need to learn how to read. And thats not the first time i have said that to you Show me where anyone has said Beckham will sign or they think he will
Our squad is very young squad Schmeichel, Peltier, Mills, St. Ledger, Bamba, King, Gallagher, Nugent, Waghotn, Schlupp, Moussa all have alot of years left in them
You just bragged about being linked with him and us only signings your rejects. You're a grade one ****, one who can barely string a sentence together, which is understandable, as there's a 50% chance that English isn't your first language, so I'll let you off, but at least try to be a little respectful.
What happens if you dont make the promise land this season and\or the owners get bored (or are all Leicester fans too naive to even contemplate that) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The owners have pretty much tied themselves to the club by linking it so closely with their business in Thailand. They would look pretty stupid if they upped and left. Also, by sponsoring the shirt and buying the naming rights to the stadium they provide finance without it being a debt to them if they do leave. There are some dodgy owners out their just trying to make a quick buck. Gaydamek at Portsmouth borrowed money on the club meaning when he got bored, the club was left owing money to him and others. This is unlikely to happen at Leicester. The money isn't borrowed in the first place, it comes from what has become Leicester's parent company, King Power. I don't think Leicester fans are naive at all. In my 20 years of watching Leicester, I have been to 4 Wembley playoff finals, winning two and loosing two. I have seen 3 League Cup finals, winning 2 and loosing 1. I have seen Leicester play in Europe twice, top the Premier League, finish in the top ten in four consecutive seasons. We have also experienced 3 relegations from the Premier League, went into administration and suffered our worst ever league finish in our history, namely, finishing as Champions of League One. So a bit of experience there. btw - OriginalLambrettaMan is showing his true colours. Not a nice person it seems.
And sponsorship alone will pay the massive wages should they up sticks? Regardless. When the rich boys take their toys home, it will be the club that are left with the daft wages on stupidly long contracts, not the owners of that regime - look at us with Bullard I may be stereotyping here, but every Leicester fan I speak to and the majority of posts on here seem to indicate you believe you have a god given right to win promotion, if not the league this season. Yes, you have spent a boat load of money and yes on paper the play-offs would be an underachievement. But that just puts pressure on your players heads before they've even kicked a competitive ball! We all know how tough this league is and how much form comes into play. That to me is naive. No comment
Quality response coming from a club with crippling debt! You still paying £60k for jimmy?? Stay on your own board losers!
We're debt free now, but thanks for your concern. Nope - 45k actually. I take it you wont be partaking in any constructive debate then?
We haven't got any debts at all and Jimmy's on £45k, a least he is until he get sacked tomorrow(possibly). As for me not being a very nice person, I'm in a different class to half the obnoxious ****s on this board.
can we bar OLM from our board for his abusive and racist comments ? jayc, welcome - its good to have discussion and hear different opinions - answer coming up from me
Racist? **** off. You can bar me if you like, though obviously it will result in every post from you obnoxious ****ers being deleted from the Hull City board. Actually, that would be no bad thing, go right ahead.
King Power bought our club to expand their business interests into the UK and Europe. We are a long term strategy marketing tool for them. They appreciate that to maximise a return, they need to invest heavily up front. They have recently commented on 'how surprised' they are at the way their profile has raised through Asia because of this venture. Europe is the market they want to crack. They are not stupid entrepreneurs, but long term, dedicated businessmen. This is not something that they are going to walk away from in 2 years time. Top, our chairman has followed our club since Steve Claridge shinned a 20 yarder in at Wembley to win the playoff final a number of years ago. The investment placed by them so far includes renovating the clubs Fans Store, the training ground and facilities, a new pitch, a million pound investment to bring Real Madrid here, and so far around £10m in transfer fees plus wages. Sven has brought in level headed players who have all faced pressure situations before, and we are now in the position of being able to replace quality with quality when injuries, suspensions and loss of individuals form are hit. The one area that we are a little lightweight is up front, which is why over the next fortnight (hopefully week) you will see that we have either bought or loaned a high profile striker. Do we believe we have a God given right to promotion ? I dont know a single Leicester fan over the age of 16 who believes this. We do believe that Sven is giving us the best possible chance though. The end of last season showed us that we cant achieve with a small squad. We let go all of our loan signings from last season and they had to be replaced, and we needed more quality acquisitions so that any impetus could be carried forward to the very end of the season. This is why Sven has brought so many players with a wealth of experience to our club. I wish Hull well for next season. Will always have a soft spot for NP for what he did for us. Wont miss his post match interviews though
OLM delete all the LC posts on the HC board & at the same time keep the **** off ours. Hull are an average npower club & we don´t have time for your ****
[NSFW]which is understandable, as there's a 50% chance that English isn't your first language, so I'll let you off, but at least try to be a little respectful. [/NSFW] yes, racist.
This is what I´ve been telling them, but they are thick & don´t get it. What business man pays millions into something for nothing ?
