He spent £11m net in 11 years mate.

We had no right even being a PL outfit ffs, and yet he delivered 8 top 7 finishes in 11 years.

Go find a suitable wall. Pick a spot and repeatedly aim forehead at said spot. You may aswell.

But the quality players he had could and should have done better in my opinion.
But I feel Moyes will struggle for SIMILAR reasons as at Man U - - expectation and style - we were starting to play well under BSA - but hope I'm as wrong as the BSA doubters - only opinions we all want success don't think Moyes is the man - Laudrup - yes

Well I was happy with Sam and he was just what we needed so I'm obviously right about Moyes too. I'm joking but when Sam goes I think the best we could want for now is for someone in a roughly similar mouldy to carry on his work and that's what we'll get.

    Edit: roughly similar mouldy?

Moyes has got that air of glorious mid table mediocrity about him which is all I want for now. Tired of feeling sick every weekend over the football results. I wouldn't be surprised if he could do better than mid table either, he's certainly good enough and I think he'll like a lot of the players we have now.

I'm prepared to write off his time at United, it was literally an impossible task following after Ferguson. I'm not convinced Mourinho can do it either, it's a bloody difficult job. And besides, Moyes did relatively alright, it's not like he had them hovering above relegation like Jose did with Chelsea.

You just stayed up by the skin of your teeth under Sam, so how can the expectation be compared with United? or the supposed 'style' for that matter?

You were hardly the entertainers under the big lad were you?

But we dont have the same expectations as Man U. Well not most i would guess. They win titles after titles, we avoid relegation season after season. We want better. Man U expect titles.

I'd say fan expectation is very low, staying up in relative comfort isn't exactly winning the treble and I doubt anyone really gives a **** about our playing style as long as it gets us points and keeps the stadium rocking as a result. I remember Everton playing nice football under Moyes anyway.

Agree but Everton often struggled and flirted with the bottom of the table before progressing - don't want that any more.
He's got a lot of sorting to do but hopefully it's my opinions wrong
Is that what what you do ?

    We didn't though.

    Moyes last 7 seasons at Goodison;

    2006-07 38 11 4 4 33 17 4 9 6 19 19 +16 58 6th
    2007-08 38 11 4 4 34 17 8 4 7 21 16 +22 65 5th
    2008-09 38 8 6 5 31 20 9 6 4 24 17 +18 63 5th
    2009-10 38 11 6 2 35 21 5 7 7 25 28 +11 61 8th
    2010-11 38 9 7 3 31 23 4 8 7 20 22 +6 54 7th
    2011-12 38 10 3 6 28 15 5 8 6 22 25 +10 56 7th
    2012-13 38 12 6 1 33 17 4 9 6 22 23 +15 63 6th

Not much flirting with the bottom going on there like..........

He had Everton competing in the top half of the season on a shoe string. Then You're comparing us to man u saying it's similar when it they couldn't be more different. He'll need to improve Sunderland on a shoestring, it's way more comparable to what was asked of him at Everton.

Yes but during some seasons were nearer the bottom before progressing . I'm not saying he was'nt a success - with the quality of player he had feel he could have done better
I like Everton but I just feel not to sure about Moyes being here now

Again, 1 bottom half finish in 11 years. You need to go do some homework then maybe reevaluate your opinion once you're armed with proper information,
