Great to read. I love the bloke, like most I suspect. Be nice to see him back on the touchline somewhere again. He seems to love the game and has so much to offer to players. Good luck Tony.

    Tony Mowbray at The Point

Did anyone off here go on Friday night??.
He was very open honest and talked very straight.
The whole night was put together by IK promotions.
    The presenter was Nick Barnes.
Some very interesting stories re his sacking, and his health care.
A great night from a great bloke.

Quality fella. By all accounts he said the club handled his sacking with him very well. Couldn’t get there myself but spoken to a few who did.
Mowbray is a cracking bloke too, I know a few who have bumped into him at various stadia since he was sacked. Said he had no animosity towards the hierarchy. Unless he was just being diplomatic of course!!

How interesting were they Bob, I hadn't heard anything much tbh.

I liked Mowbray at Sunderland, came in at a good time for us.

I have to say though, I'm not keen on Nick Barnes ...

... always seems to have a bit of a grudge with Sunderland.

Don’t think Barnes is particularly anti safc. He’s just an old duffer and the game has completely passed him by. Add in his reliance on personal relationships and he doesn’t offer safc fans much insight.

I don't think Barnes is anti-SAFC. He just likes attention and knows that the best way to get attention is to say stuff people don't like rather than do like.

You could be right although, tbh, I avoid him as much as possible.

He reminds me of some of the ‘glass half empty’ types you get on forums …

… ‘yes we’re top of the league but how long can that last’ <laugh>

Not quite true, yes he has **** on a few people, but that's just the game, last seasons spat was over a personl friend who he slagged
    From his time at Brum.
It's a long story, I won't bore you with it.

I understand how some folk think he is pompous, but imho, he is just old fashioned.
    Joanne keeps him in line.
They do have our club at heart.

Did we all know, that SAFC let Tony use the clubs health insurance, it cost 10's of thousands.
Tony opened his heart over our fans and how much support he got from us.
    He is a class bloke.
