You are just confirming my point, you pay pennies in comparison to the big clubs and because of that you can't expect to hold on to the likes of Kane.

So thanks

<laugh> I say, timing's the secret to great comedy, son. Timing.

How so<laugh> We've known since last summer he was going to barca?

as I've said many many times to you lads in here before that's what happens when you don't win things as a club, your top players leave, as youve learned in the past and I'm sure you will again in the future.

this is what riles you lot when people speak of kane, because you know eventually if you continue to win nothing he will be off too. That's football these days<cheers>

Kane is a tricky one as he is genuinely one of our own, loves the club and by all accounts is one of the most down to earth players in the modern game. The most recent comparative example to him would be Ledley King, but no big club would take a risk on him because he only had one knee. Berbatov, Modric, Bale...all have fond memories of Spurs but by the same token none of them genuinely give a toss about how we do. Kane is different. He's a local lad who grew up watching Spurs and has been with us since the age of 10. I am 100% certain he'll still be here next season.

But I agree in principle - a fair few of us are worried about the likes of Dele, Toby, Eriksen, Dier etc. and the impact another trophyless season will have on them. I can personally see Toby and Dier leaving this summer regardless of our league finish, unless we get top 4 and a trophy - which realistically isn't going to be the CL. I think Eriksen is more at home at the club than most and hopefully now the Barca rumours will finally be put to rest! Dele won't be at spurs in the long term but he has struggled this season and is still very young; I can see him here for at least another year.

It won't help when you realise that FSG have decided that his replacement is Oxlade-Chamberlain, though. So, you let it all out. We'll be here for you.......<laugh>

Is Coutinho cup-tied for the CL this season ??

If so, and he is gone, then Barca must be reasoning
that no CL this season and buy now is far better than
risk him having a stormer in the WC and a summer
auction happening.

I think you'll find he's cans replacement Brian.

Not much to replace there.........I do wonder if he's up to it?
His fitness and work rate have gone near to to the level he had before that big injury, he's lacking touch and some match sharpness still for me, not fully bedded in I would say but he's a much more energetic and busy player than can is and can play in more positions so deffo more a klopp player I think.

All that remains now is to beat Juventus, draw Barca,
and watch all them Mousers wanting to become
honorary Yiddos for two games.
