Suarez involved in 'bite' incident - British media(that he think hates him) still protecting him.

That's the third time now, ban the gross freak for life.

Just as I was talking about Suarez's lack of marketable brand due to his image and behaviour, he goes and does that!

The man is a complete dickhead and for that reason will never be considered as one of the greats after he retires.

Mind you, he may get a lead role should Hollywood decide on a Jaws remake.

I've seen people say he will only get an international ban and not a domestic ban.

I agree though, he should be banned for life, that's the third time now.

Being a dickhead is irrelevant to someone's reputation as a legendary player.
Maradona's still a dickhead now.

Suarez hasn't done enough on the pitch to make himself one, though.
Very good player, but no legend.

Luis Suarez's controversies

July 2010: Handles the ball on the line to deny Ghana a winner in the last minute of extra time in the World Cup quarter-finals. Asamoah Gyan misses the resulting penalty and Uruguay win the shootout to reach the semi-finals.

November 2010: Given seven-match ban for biting PSV Eindhoven's Otman Bakkal on the shoulder while playing for Ajax.

December 2011: Given eight-match suspension and fined £40,000 for racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra.

February 2012: Refuses to shake hands with Evra at Old Trafford and is described as a "disgrace" by United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

April 2013 : Suarez apologises for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic. Gets 10-game ban.

Now the alleged biting incident. If proven and added to the above list, this is why he risks never getting a move to the big club (his talent deserves). Real Madrid may not risk it after signing a gentleman like Bale and Barca don't need the extra controversy. In many ways the mousers should be happy he acts in the manner he does, as it means only clubs like the goons are making bids.

The word is that 'Pool are discussing Goofy's future.

Is the club worried that he'll get a CL and Domestic ban as well as an International ban, I wonder?

If the club was banking on £68 million from Barca, they are going to just about as pissed off with him as they can possibly be. At the moment, the player isn't worth any money. He's far too much of a liability.

I would think he's pretty much unsaleable until it's decided what FIFA will do...

If he's slapped with a two-year ban, they can rule out any plans they had for spending the Suarez money on new players.

In retrospect, they'll regret reneging on his release clause last summer: £40,000,001 can bring in more players than £0.00 ever could.

The idea that he'll get some enormous domestic ban seems a little far fetched to me.
I'll be surprised if he receives much beyond about 12 games at international level and anything club related at all.

FIFA always overreact to something, though. Remember the lengthy ban they gave Zidane after the 2006 final, even though that was his last-ever match? What were they going to do, ban him from having a kickabout in his garden?

An international ban only would be a complete waste of time. How is that going to punish the player?

Being bounced out of Brasil 2014 is not punishment ??

It's not a positive brand but he does have a brand image. He feeds off his negative brand image in Uruguay where his "bad-boy" image has earned him several sponsorships. It will push some sponsors away temporarily- but attract others.

By constantly doing stupid irresponsible things- he's making himself MORE famous.
