They do. Gary Linekar at BBC and Geoff Shreeves at Sky have both said they are pleased he's back in the decision as he's a friend of theirs. Other fans of his include some of the Soccer Saturday panel and Richard Keys (now at Al Jazeera).

A majority of football coverage lacks actual analysis these days. The best place for match analysis is the Monday Night Football programme on Sky with Gary Neville (and now Jamie Carragher). When Andy Gray worked for Sky, he was streets ahead of everybody else in terms of giving analysis as a pundit on his touchscreen and ITV had Andy Townsend try and do something similar with a touchscreen which didn't really work out whilst Alan Hansen just continued to get lazier and lazier in his analysis.

Anyone see the table? A lot of teams that won & moved up had a red down arrow next to them & teams that lost had a green up arrow next to them, as far as I could tell possibly only the bottom 3 were correct.

I'm not the only one then <ok>

I love how bullish he is in his interviews.

People like Redknapp and Hollowhead do my nut in with their constant sucking up to the media.

Listening to him being interviewed by Stringer is excellent entertainment. Stringer being the youthful, exuberant journalist wanting to get every detail out of him but Nige sticks him in his place every week. Today's was particularly funny.

Good to see there's still a big pic of Deano on the fls opening credits. Must be a city fan working on the show.

Is it just me that finds McDermott unbearable?

He might as well put his skinhead to good use and write 'Warning, i'm a boring ****' on it to alert people before they strike conversations up with him.

Hated Pearson's interviews at City when I wanted to know what was happening in the club, but it is pretty funny seeing him make the journos lives absolute hell.

Also, our pen was much more of a pen than yours!
