People are entitled to their opinion without being told what to think.
ACS encourages people, on the Newcastle board, to make jokes about Sunderland people shagging their mothers.

What? Deleting posts? Editing posts? Merging threads? Telling tales to the super mods?

I didn't tell anyone to do anything. I made no demands, just a suggestion.

Not wading in lads because I can see both sides of the argument so can't really argue it with anyone, but just one thing. Why should any thread just be "allowed to die"? In that case the moderator's would not be necessary at all...it is their job to ensure visitor's to the site don't click on it and then never want to come back because of what they've seen...and by all account's Billy's post was vile, so it was right that it should be removed. I do agree that Chip Shop shouldn't have been on here on the day of the derby, sad and asking for trouble imho.
With a little luck Tees & talc will be reading this and think, ACS what a c*nt he is and come back on.
Hopefully we can restore Billy as well. Bloody hell the bloke was tanked up and letting his emotions go. Talc was on around 8pm, he could have and tried to deal with it then, poor fella mortal after we won having to deal when this place was carnage, as mods if we are discussing something we all get a pm, not just 2 of us, especially 1 who broadcasted his blindness and suggested he was going on a bender until tuesday (namely moi)

That's bullshit mate. There's semantics and there's phrases which mean completely different things as is the case here.
I'm backing out of the conversation because when push comes to shove I'd prefer you lot giving Albert grief to you lot giving me grief to be honest. I'm certainly not here to be a mags lightning rod for abuse.
It wasn't my intention to start an argument or a heated discussion. I certainly wasn't trying to tell people how to act. That's a misunderstanding.
The fact is 99% of the time on here we DON'T need moderators.
If ACS had a problem with a post that had nothing whatsoever to do with him, he should have sorted it with our mods.
Your visitors clicking on it and getting all upset doesn't hold water either.

There's much worse than what Billy wrote, and no I'm not defending him before you start.
Billys post would have slid down the board and disappeared straight away as we were all still buzzing from beating our **** neighbours.

ACS wanted to play White Knight simple as that, he wanted patting on the head and his ego stroked.
1 Because this forum promotes free speech. It's even says so on the logo. This board and it's mods stay true to the sites philosophy and as a result censorship is not considered as moderation issue. Mods on this board keep things tidy, encourage posting and above all act with dignity and grace whilst representing this Board.
2 in two minutes of viewing the general chat you'll fast realise your interpretation of what a moderators job should is completely wrong. Any visitor would quickly realise this is an anything goes site
