I've just realized that I didn't give the answer for our first scorer, I'm pretty sure everyone got it anyway but:-

The match was at home against Stockport County and we lost 1 - 3...........our scorer Guy Butters..

    Another easy Gills question.

I think we have only had one match in our history where 3 different Gills players scored a hat trick (a hat trick of hat tricks)
Can you name the team we were playing against.

A big clue is to think camera.

I'll give you points for trying Resugam, unfortunately this company is English, founded in 1879 and took on the name of the town where it had a large site.

And that is spot on, in 1896 we played them at home and won 9 - 1.

Ok a fun bit of trivia in memory of our visitors on Saturday....when Gills played Burton at home in 2012, what amusing event occurred during the game?

Not sure if you mean on or off the pitch, but on the pitch we scored 4 goals and 3 of those were from defenders.

I'm not surprised you can remember that far back (( it was the 'Hereford' year - which we won't let you forget )).
I'll be honest - I'm struggling -- can only think it might be to do with a fox running the length of the pitch ?
-On the pitch we had a stunning goal by Matt Fish

A couple of pensioners were ejected from the RE stand for celebrating the Burton goal, it transpired that they were in fact Millwall supporters.

<applause> Well done mate, that is the correct answer :)

They were certainly Millwall supporters and had Wall tops on. They were on a wine and dine ocassion I think, why that particular game I can't remember, there was a reason given at the time but reason slips my mind.

Although they were in the top tier overlooking the Medway Stand not the Rainham End.
