Watched him a few times now...

Other than prancing about on tiptoes pretending to be skillful, what exactly is his role....?

One of those players who only really gets a chance when we're already losing and playing ****. Hard to make much impact. I think he's a good passer of the ball, but Docherty and Honeyman are rightfully hard to displace.

Which makes it even more mystifying why McCann chose to replace a fighter in Docherty with a showman (Moncur) when we weren't getting near them with Thudd in midfield !

He is a luxury player should be nowhere near a team scrapping for its life in a relegation battle

I don't know what to make of Moncur, he's obviously got some talent, though never really seems to manage to use it to achieve anything.

I think that's a fair summary, but you do have to factor in how little opportunity he's had, and the games they've come in. Coming on at half time on Saturday was never going to be easy, and a lot of the games he's made fleeting appearances in have been like that.

His runs forward with the ball played a part in our equaliser against Blackpool at home and the second equaliser against Everton, so it's not like he's done absolutely nothing. I'd say he's done little, but not had opportunities to do much more.

The problem is you have to earn that opportunity to play regularly. Williams on the other hand has done well when coming on as a substitute. Moncur, given he’s supposed to be experienced at Championship level, hasn’t done anything.
