I have to say I enjoyed the now legendary 'Race To Moderation' (of the board, not the drinking establishment) of 2012. Or it could have been 2013. I don't remember.

Anyhow, it woz gud n I licked it.

However, despite the fun and closeness of the race, I feel I should let others with newer, fresher, more dynamic ideas into the fray. Also, since my narrow and (some may say) dubious defeat, the Hull Tigers stuff has kicked off. I've spent most of my forum life since then taking a side, very strongly, and then subsequently trying to avoid it altogether so I don't smash my skull into pieces on the side of the breakfast bar as I read comments I disagree with. As a mod, I'd need to mediate this stuff, and I don't really fancy it when I can choose to ignore it instead.

I'll enjoy watching the new battle though. I agree with those suggesting a female or a Hull Tigers dork, as balance may improve things.

Battle on!

I'm happy to take up the role again if people want me too, I think the reasons I jacked it in previously would be less if an issue now and though I sometimes post with my CTWD hat on, that would in now way influence my moderation.

I can understand if posters would rather give a new person a go, so it's no problem either way.

OLM for mod then, has to be. Cant think of anyone else on the board who is as active and "sensible" with his posts.

Great news. You have my vote!

Chazz or Happy. No offence to Blampey or OLM - but we already have a pro CWTD mod, so for balance someone less opinionated (in Blampey's case).

OLM for me. The CTWD thing shouldn't make any difference. A mods opinion doesn't carry any more weight than anyone else's, even if some seem to think it does.
