This notion of being unable to criticize someone unless you've done the same job to the same level or better is a nonsense. So Gary Neville failed as a manager, if he understands why he failed and he sees the same mistakes being made by someone else why on earth shouldn't he flag it up?

You'll look forward to going into work today then and someone who is absolutely ****e at your job telling you where you're going wrong.

And what you said above is what Lambo challenged yesterday.

Of course he can but people can thenpoint the finger at himthe clever little manc ****.
Bit like that deluded fan who had a go at redknapp about fat frank all those years ago. Course he can have a go, but what a **** he looked.

Yep. Everyone on the shop floor thinks they can do a better job than the boss.

I've been in that position before and you're right, it's not comfortable. But if they happen to be right then they're right and you can either stick your head in the stand or quietly acknowledge it and do something about it.

That anology would only work if Gary Neville knew absolutely nothing about football. <doh>

No it wouldn't. Being a football player and football manager are completely different. Very, very few brilliant players have been brilliant managers. Most brilliant managers were entirely average or worse footballers.

You do realise being a football manager isnt just about defending set pieces. You know like theres a few things in there like transfers, player morale, getting your ideas across, tactics, etc.

So whilst they might be **** at the thing as an overall package it doesnt necessarily mean they cant be right about some things.
