I'm shhite at cooking rice, but saw the Uncle Bens for 10 minute boil in the bags, seemed to come out ok to me. Especially when i usually fook it up!
Cant do rice on the hob, microwave in a Pyrex jug for 8/10mins for basmati same amount of water.
12/14mins for long grain with double water to rice.

Rice is easy mate ... just keep dipping a spoon and nibbling a grain or two until it gets to your preferred texture ... **** timers ... little oil in the water also seems to help <ok>

I think Stan has had a bit of a wobble and is having some down time tbh.

He’s always making snide comments and talking down to people but he always seemed to actually enjoy doing it and took something from being involved in those conversations. He wasn’t just being a dick for the sake of it.

(In the spirit of being fair I’ve also had a lot of good conversations with him that I’ve enjoyed and more recently in the stock Market Game got on with him well).

But when he randomly blocked me it seemed out of character and then shortly after seems to have had some kind of bust up with sucky? And then gone awol. To me that’s the signs of someone having a bit of a difficult time and wanting a breather. Maybe trying to focus on the real world a bit more.

trouble causing Goon ****

Learn then innit :bandit: Wash several times to get the starch out. Put in enough water to more than cover the rice (about a cm over). Bring to the boil, then turn the heat right down to the lowest possible setting, put the lid on and leave for about 20 mins. Job's a goodun. Add peas like Sucky about 5 mins before the end.

Those Uncle Ben's are expensive as well. Every time you want to have rice you're buying a packet. For the quality I think it's a waste tbh.

What's to **** up?

There are two ways of properly cooking plain or basmati. Cba to explain a minute, but happy to in the morning?

Nothing wrong with microwave rice by the way, impossible to go wrong. I recommend spicy Mexican, Asda or Sainsbury's is fine.

I don't cook in microwaves either. But if it works then all good.

Basmati defo the way to go though <ok>

If you like long grain, try Sella rice bro. Highly recommend it.

**** I've had to learning being a single dad <laugh>

I like long grain with more spicy food usually or food with sauce, basmati for everything else tbh.

I won’t have a microwave in the house. Russia put out a world health warning in the 70’s, I think, suggesting that they’d been a spike in cancer cases where they were rolled out. It got dismissed by the west as Cold War propaganda. I’m assuming microwave radiation will have changed a lot since then, but still, they radiate more than I’d want in my house.
