Not really sure why, he's only 30.

I remember watching him for the under 21's when they played at the KC a while back. He was the best player on the pitch.

does anyone else feel like milner didn't fulfil his full potential, he came into the prem with leeds at 16 and was a good player, he's just become a steady consistent player

Quality young player, never lived up to expectation in my opinion - but a good solid player none the less.

I never will ever get the dislike for Milner. He's a good player. Maybe not amazing, but he's solid.

He'd be in my England squad (not the XI, but the squad)

exactly, he is mr consistentr

I think he's been played out of position a lot which hasn't helped him or filled gaps

He was reasonable in a few positions, but wasn't good enough/1st choice for England in any particular position.

Always makes me laugh when the player decides that they don't want to play for their country any more. Surely it's the managers choice!

Agree about the U21 game, he was excellent.

Always a good player, just probably not England good - or good enough or some of the clubs he's played for.

Solid, dependable. Can't say fairer than that.
