We should jyst retire from the onternational scene completely itd would save us being constantly embarrassed
I agree, not spectacular but a good solid player. What few games I saw of Liverpool last season he was one of their better players. Never forget that free kick he scored against us at the Etihad in the last minute to grab a draw.
Decent Premier League player at best. We should never have been in the position where he was an option at international level - but we were, for too long.
He's a good player and worthy of what he's achieved in the game, including the clubs he's played for. He's an unfashionable sort of player. It's all about little pacey wingers with fancy names now. People dont have time for a teetotal, short back and sides, dependable white lad called James on the wing. I suppose he's the equivalent of Clucas in that respect. Anyway, he made some comments the other day about being in the squad for his versatility and dependability rather than anything else and that he was basically fed up of it.
