Ooh joycey....I wonder who he'll bring in to help him.. perhaps someone from United?
Posted from Lima Peru on seventh day of bloody two week business trip so reading all this is a bit surreal - very good news though

Wasn't it a 'rolling' one-year contract? I'm sure I read a quote from SB that that was the case.Could there be some potential compo for us from Villa?
Bruce resigns then (albeit months later) takes over at Villa whilst we were 'managerless'.
If so, you can't imagine it'd be a great amount as I was led to believe (difficult with this regime) that Bruce was on a rolling contract anyway.
It means **** now Sky have finally paid out on my bet for MP as next permanent manager. I've been waiting on that £180 for ages.

Lost track a bit does anyone know what backroom staff we still have.
What do you reckon to Torremolinos Lbia?? I went couple of years ago. Thought it was strange place. Couldnt find many pubs.I'm not too concerned about Clemence, there will be plenty of options for an assistant, but it would piss me off hugely if Bruce was allowed to prise away Tony Pennock.

The final nail in the relegation coffin.Phelan Appointed Head Coach
The Tigers are pleased to confirm the appointment of Mike Phelan as the Club’s new Head Coach on a permanent basis.
The 53-year-old took over as caretaker manager following Steve Bruce’s departure from the KCOM Stadium towards the end of July and enjoyed an impressive start to life in the job, picking up the Premier League Manager of the Month award for August after guiding his side to successive wins in their opening two league matches.
Speaking after putting pen-to-paper, Phelan said: “It’s been a while in coming, but I’m happy with the position I am now in and looking forward to the challenge ahead.
“It has taken time but things have to be done correctly with these matters. What is important now is that we move forward and help this squad of players be successful for this football club.
“It’s exciting to step over that threshold into management, and I’m looking forward to working with this group of players that has done so well so far.
“The support I have received from everyone has been magnificent and I want that to continue because the challenges ahead are huge. The fans have been excellent through the last few months and the players have given me their full backing.
“I’m looking forward to what is to come now so roll on the next few games.”

Glad its been sorted at last , cant help but feel that the part of Liam's tweet regards MP being a good honest man, is a little bit of a dig at SB.Liam Rosenior @rosenior_liam23
Delighted that Mike Phelan has been appointed at Hull... A great coach and more importantly a good, honest man... Well deserved.
