I was going to post some sort of sarcastic rebuttal before anyone posted such a thing like that, but I feared it'd detract from the point of the thread. Which by you not disagreeing, I'm taking you agree with, now back on topic...

Seriously can't stand the Middlesbroughnian bastards.

Language ????

The trouble is Hull is so far (Geographically) from any decent footballing team that we have never had any proper rivals.

The only exception being Leeds. But as others have said, they don't return our hatred of them enough to really make the relationship work!
Too many people I know from Leeds don't hate Hull City at all. One guy at work used to be a 100% dyed in the wool WS fan, and would never say a bad word about us, even though I tried to rattle his cage often enough.
They seem to have the same issue themselves. They claim to hate Man U and and call them their 'true rivals' whereas all the Man U fans I know bearly acknowledge the existence of Leeds and actually hate Liverpool the most as their true rivals.

Unless Carlos Slim buys Grimsby and turns them into world beaters, I fear we will always be without a proper rival team. Sigh. Our best chance is to keep giving Leeds stick imho.

Think the fact is we've been too crap for years to have a serious rival. We've spent far too long in the wilderness.

This is what I meant in my earlier post: why do we need to be hated?! I can't stand Leeds for several tangible reasons, but I don't want them to hate us, we're the good guys in football.
