Performance wasn’t as bad as some are suggesting. I was just disappointed to see a lack of bravery in team selection (1 striker as usual - will never understand it) and the way some of our players do something good (e.g. turn on the ball and lose their man), only to then pick the backwards option and un-do their positive play/kill the momentum. This happened a lot and should be looked at. Middlesbrough did the opposite today, and it’s why they had a lot more chances.

We don’t have the players we had last season. But we aren’t a bottom 3 squad. We need a positive and experienced manager who can change the mood around the place.
Agree with some of this,in particular the one up front. At some point we're going to need to go looking for goals to win games,we're not getting them with this set up.I think we'd be far stronger in a 4-4-2?

Also worth pointing out that we're not going to come up against Ben Doak every week, the lad is class,Boro are lucky to have him and he makes a huge difference.Boro are probably better than us without him, with him they're far superior. That was a hard game for Andy Dawson, trouble is it doesn't look much easier next Saturday.

We live in hope.

Blackburn beating Leeds as well..

Think he's best as a 8 or 10.
He seems a good technical player but needs an end product of goals or assists otherwise what's the point in those positions
What good is being 'technical' when you invariably play the safe ball, are easily knocked off the ball and provide no goals or assists?

He stayed up late to watch on his laptop, you know. If it was a 15:00 kick-off he would’ve had to set an alarm to watch before going back to bed.

I do like the fact we have international supporters but for someone who only watches games on his TV via HDMI he actually thinks he’s an expert on Hull City it’s ****ing hilarious but it’s old ground.

That's exactly my point. I was really expecting him to kick on from last season but it just hasn't happened if anything a step back. The only defence would be he might be a lot better played behind decent striker(s) but I'm still not sure

I like daws city through and through
And yes it’s is first game in charge
But
He’s been working with these players all season
I would have liked a radical change today as he must be able to see where we’ve been going wrong?
Hopefully next game he might think **** it
Let’s go two up top or pack the midfield or five at the back
It needs a radical change
And quickly

We were much better today than we were against Wednesday and it’s definitely an improvement actually giving the midfield players the ball occasionally.

Far too much doom and gloom on here, it’s getting like Hull City Fans Forum on Facebook, just without all the spelling mistakes.
We still created **** all outside the goal, if it weren’t for Pandur, the only real mention in the MOTM thread it would’ve been much worse

Or like your lad’s Twitter feed (Alfie is right btw).
