What was noticeable was the quality subs gave us quality on the ball - pass and move at times . Connolly had some good touches and moves , just short of sharpness really .

We look better all-round when we play with a higher tempo and more intensity. Just not sure why we seem to wait till we go behind to do it...

This. And I’m sure you would agree that we should adopt the slow possession approach when we’re 2-0 up? It beggars belief that we are yet to realise this as a club and I fear it may be too late when we do.

Let's face it, Middlesbrough were gash yet could have been out of sight by half time if they'd taken their chances.

I didn't see anything inspiring about the sub changes.
Sometimes you just get lucky.

We’ve been due a win like that all season. Was basically the reverse of the Watford game

in the ground Boro fans were getting frustrated by their slow build up as well. Funny how it works

Agree with the first bit. But I did feel a lot more confident when he made the triple change. I thought at the time he took the right players off/sent on good impact players.

We were shocking first half and Allsop had a couple brain farts playing out from the back. The run up to this game also saw him make several mistakes that led to us dropping points. As good as his saves were in the final minute, that doesn’t invalidate the previous criticisms of him.

To Allsops credit there was a moment similar to the QPR game and he just put it into touch. He’s clearly learned his mistake

I am really interested to see how we do through this set of fixtures. Last night showed signs of being able to win when we don't play well. We'll need more of that.
Better than if we'd lost - big confidence boosting result.
Add to that a couple of players had performances that they really needed.

I only got home in time for second half and to be fair they could have been further out of sight if they'd taken their chances in the second half. We took our chances but if we don't learn from getting away with seem really sloppy moments last night, it will catch up with us.

Coyle at times looks dodgy and well out of control with what he’s doing, Vinagre last night was quality, cool as a cucumber under pressure and has to play for me.
Vinagre did very well with the goal but there was a moment after that when he more or less stopped as the right back overlapped down his wing, either because he was already worn out or couldn't be bothered. I'm not sure he's fit enough for more than 30 minutes.
