So if I didn't want to work but had to go in to collect my 40 grand a week and moped around like a spoilt 10 year old sh*t, I would get sacked. Give him his official written warnings or whatever the legal requirement is and then sack the tw*t. Sorry but it winds me up so much. We gave him his opportunity in the Premier league, he won a Spanish cap, a SPANISH cap for Gods sake with the team they had, yet he turns into a mopey tw*t on more in a week than I would ever earn in a year. And by the way, if he didn't smash the advertising boards after every goal, then maybe his ankle wouldn't be so bad. I was always just waiting for him to do his foot in doing that. Grrrrrrrrrr

You are assuming a lot there nam jack....You are probably so far off the mark for someone who is willing to risk £160,000 wages every month...<laugh> If he has to come back then as long as he is fit then he will do exactly the same training as everyone else. He wont risk losing his wages for anyone. you can bet on it....

None of us will see Michu back at the club now, next season or in the future neither the club nor Michu have any intention of a reconciliation. He will either be sold, loaned or have his contract paid up but one thing is a certainty he won't play for the club again.

<laugh> Who are we going to sell him too? I dont see anyone lining themselves up to pay his £40k a week, and who are we going to loan him too ? everyone knows the situation so who would again pay £40k a week on someone we are portraying in a bad light which i don't believe a bit of it and is exaggerated beyond comprehension....Nah he will report for training alright and he will have the same chance as everyone else to make his mark.....

Will the hammers be gullible enough to pay us £4m for michu? A report saying they like a bit of a gamble might just take the risk. Im a bit worried that the writer is a bit confused though as he referred us as being Swindon three times...<laugh> I hope its true and michu is willing to join the hammers and i hope he dont come back and bite us on the bum when we meet.....now that would be ironic....<ok>

It's always the case dai - Danny Graham only scores against us so it is a given

Michu will NOT under any circumstances report for training with the club. One way or another he will be gone. Sorry if that disappoints anyone, but he won't be back.

I actually agree I don't believe there is anyway he can return. Can I ask how you know and are so sure though.

For obvious reasons I'm not privy to a great deal of inside information, but in this case I have personally spoken to let's say an insider at the club who explained why Michu would not be returning or training with the team again. I am a Vice President of the club, have been for many years not that this gives me access to any "inside info" but I do know several people within the club whom I talk to occasionally. The conversation I had was many months ago but the impression I got from that was that in no way would he be allowed to turn out for the club again. Things change I know but I doubt this situation will change one iota. That's about as much as I can say.

So he's in breach of his contract then?

This is great news. Don't want the spoilt prick back at our club <party>

Hope this isn't the club being snotty about his return. From what I have seen it seems like Michu may suffer from some mental issues and would hate to think we as a club have failed to support him in any way.

I know these players get huge wages and are seen as commodities but they are still human and susceptible to mental illnesses like anyone else.

I'm sure the club take player's welfare seriously, but I don't like seeing anyone cut adrift without support, can't have been nice for him living in a hotel in Napoli and not playing any football for a year!

Some would argue that you make your bed....etc

I could see that argument, but you'd hope that if there are mental issues the club would be understanding and help him through it. Mental illness in the workplace is not at all well handled and I would argue that football players would be very likely sufferers due to the frankly weird environment they live in...

I haven't read/heard anything linking him with mental illnesses?

It's clear that nobody on here knows anything about Michu and his current state, only michu himself and monk/jinx will know what is happening and if any on the table deals are on offer and whether Michu will agree to whatever club if any at all he is happy to join......So far its all the usual paper talk that happens every season and no actual facts.....

The club did support him by letting him go which was his own choice. We did a ridiculous loan deal instead of selling him just to facilitate this. If no one wants him now and he does not return to the club then surely he will be in breach of contract and hence can be sacked. Is a footballers contract really above employment law.

I reiterate, this is great news as Monk has worked wonders to reshape and unite our squad again and imo the last thing we needed was michu coming back and becoming a poison apple in the dressing room.
