I posted the Roker Report Power thread a short time before you mate, and when I’ve checked it was up there for less than 5 minutes before it was merged to transfer rumours. I used to look at this site every day a few years ago, and with the optimism seemingly returning I’ve looked a lot more recently. I can see the relevance of tidying or merging a thread together after a period of time, but for the person who firstly comments on my thread and then immediately merges it into rumours thread is a bit of a piss take imho. There aren’t exactly lots of new threads these days on here so whoever it is, give your head a shake
I never realised mate. I always check the board before i post a thread to make sure nobody has beaten me to it and because i dont read the rumour thread i never even noticed youd put it up first. Had your thread been left alone like it should have been i wouldnt have even put mine on.
Just going to tag a mod at random, @Gordon Armstrong take a look at this thread please and take note.
Can we agree to a rule of no merging without the posters consent on the thread? Surely that's not going to upset anyone?
I've said that a few times without any response from the mod who's doing it, it's a no brainer. It's a relaxed board and a basic courtesy.
You are correct. leave all threads alone until they have run there course Then merg and tidy up the board Myself and others have lost there posting its been merged somewhere And I can’t find it
Do I need to 'fess up' ? Everybody knows that I merged them, and I told the poster why . . . . and I didn't know that he never reads the rumour threads (I thought that we all did, being as it's been possibly the most interesting thread for weeks 'cos of the window'). It's as if some think that I did it deliberately to upset Tees and he knows that I didn't !
It's the fact that you created a new thread and didn't acknowledge all the questions raised on the merge thread by several posters, including me. It just comes across as rude Gordon.
To be honest mate i didnt know it was you that merged them. I had a feeling it might be but your name wasnt on the notification. After reading your reason of them already being on the rumour thread thats what pished me off because i dont give a to$$ if its on there, i wanted to chat about it on my own personal thread which id taken abit of time out to create, so why shouldn't I be allowed to do that? Ive never read the rumour thread because rumours are pointless but when we actually have a player at the club having a medical I think it warrants its own thread. I know you didnt set out to pish me off mate, i should have probably inboxed you about it to check if it was you. Youve always been decent to me on here, so im happy to just move on from it now.
****ing Amen to that. Fact is we had a transfer link with more legs than a centipede and the signing was imminent and we're not allowed to start a thread on it? Taking the piss it is.Then ignores a dozen complaints like he ignored the dozen complaints last time he did it. He's just going to do it again next window. He's not listening to anybody.
Wouldn't it make sense to actually speak to them first before just doing what you want? It's abuse of 'power'. It's not just this incident either, it's pissing others off too.
Yes you do, so good on you for doing so.. But there's been a lot of frustration building up over this from several posters other than Tees and you've failed to acknowledge this. That never comes across well, incidental or not. There's just no need to do all the merging fella, nobody is asking you to - so why keep doing it. Lots of random/ individual posting is a good thing, a bit of chaos to spice things up. Unless you're Monty.
