Nothing wrong with the west stand support. I loved it in there. I'm in the east stand now and there are plenty there who sit and are quiet during games. Each to their ownRead my post - I said I prefer to SIT in the West Stand

Yes
I said some like to goad the opposition fans - not all (and some do). The original post said the West Stand was full of Old people, Flaskers and People who didn't swear. None of which are correct
I don't know you - so no I didn't particularly include you at all.
It might be just me, but I do think having a full lower bowl gives you a better atmosphere than having a few spread out in the Upper West.
I've just looked and the Upper West holds about 5k, so we don't need to be worrying about opening it until we start pushing towards the 20k mark. I suspect with the ticket pricing, we'll have a lot of away fans too this year, so I think we'll certainly get close.
There's still lots of availability in the South so we need these seats filling first.
What "type?" Hull City fans?

Apologies - but the question remains - because I choose to sit in the West Stand are you saying that my support of our team is not as valid as your own? Or as valid as that of someone who sings in the East or North stand? As you wrote yours it seems you were grouping me with the group which isn’t yours
Not everyone in the West Stand sits quietly. There are times though when the whole ground is quiet. How many times have you heard opposition fans singing "Football in a Library?" And that is directed at all of us - not just the West standthe lot sitting quietly

I'm sorry (and this will piss some people off on here) but I find it highly irritating that a fair few on here seem to think that unless you're drinking 5 pints with your mates before the game, standing up the entire way through and singing relentlessly you're some how less of a supporter than they are. People should be allowed to support the team how they want. What's wrong with certain areas of the ground being 'full of old people' that's great isn't it? Why are they - supporting the team in the way they want - any more or less of a supporter than anyone else? I attend with my young son and he loves attending and getting his face painted etc in the family stand. I'm happy to be sat with other families not a load of swearing pissed blokes. I myself really like to watch the game carefully, I will cheer but I'm not a 'singer', and it's great that other people do as it's part of the unique atmosphere of a football match, but the fact I and others don't that doesn't mean we're any less of a supporter than those that do. Rant over.Noooooo! SGJ has just opted for West stand and you propose re-opening West Upper. He'll be mortified. West stand is crap by the way. Flaskers and no swearing. Old people who just want to sit all match. Sorry SGJ
I’m sure you’re not suggesting those of us who stand do so only to ‘goad the opposition’?So because we aren't standing, we aren't roaring the team on? Because we actually watch the game -as opposed to some who would much rather spend a portion of the game looking at and goading the opposition fans, in your opinion our support isn't as valid as yours?
It's fantastic that we have great supporters in the East and North Stand who want to sing all match. However, that isn't for everyone. We are all there to support the team - whether we stand or not
'5 pints'? ****ing lightweights..I'm sorry (and this will piss some people off on here) but I find it highly irritating that a fair few on here seem to think that unless you're drinking 5 pints with your mates before the game, standing up the entire way through and singing relentlessly you're some how less of a supporter than they are. The atmosphere was actually very good against Leicester, far better than the usual pre-season.[/QUOT

You are correct - I was not suggesting that at all.
I'm sure those fans who choose to stand do so because they feel it is the best way to support our team and watch the match. My point was that in Some games, some fans spend some time goading opposition fans rather than watching what is happening on the pitch
Of course no fans of other clubs do that.
As is their prerogative. I would rather concentrate on what is happening on the pitch rather than off it, that's all
